GENERAL DESCRIPTION This position within the Chief Operating Office - Business Risk Management team partners with the stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of operational risk management framework in Front Office, Investment Solutions and REsearch processes by reviewing, providing support, advisory and input on the required controls. In addition, the team is the liaison for internal and external reviews, and ensuring timely reporting and closure of outstanding items, while actively promoting general operational risk and information risk awareness among all staff. This role reports to the Head of COO Business Risk Management - Risk & Control, which is part of the Chief Operating Office("COO") unit, with an objective to consolidate and lead the risk and control framework for Front Office, Investment Solutions and Research. MAIN DUTIES Strengthen operational risk management governance and framework in first line of defence. Supports the Front Office, Investment Solutions and Research stakeholders to manage their operational risks in a structured, systematic and consistent manner. Provide guidance and advice to FO, ISG, CIO stakeholders on all compliance & regulatory related matters, including but not limited to AML/CFT policy and procedural changes, cross border marketing guidelines, adherence to sales and suitability policies and procedures, fraud prevention policy and procedures etc. Conduct deep dives of operational losses ("events") to determine sequence of events, control weaknesses, and develop preventive action plans. Analysis of operational risk data to identify areas of risk and ensure past mitigation efforts are having the desired effect. Promote general operational risk awareness among staff, as well as support and provide advisory on operational risk related matters to the Business Units Lead, support, coordinate interactions and timely response with Group Audit, and other internal/ external reviewers Lead, support business process related risk projects Qualifications WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum 5 years of experience working in a financial institution with minimum 3 years of management of operational risk and/or business risk in private banking. Good knowledge of banking products and operations preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications. VBA coding skills or data visualization tools preferred Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to facilitate interactions and able to maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a rapidly changing environment with the capacity to proactively anticipate, identify, prevent and resolve issues.
