- Manage projects and ensure budget control and maximise gross margin in projects
- Source and secure new businesses opportunities /projects
- Ensure client satisfaction is maintained
- Collaborate with leadership team to determine existing technical capabilities and future needs
- Assist the Director in formulating, implementing and achieving Company strategies and goals
- Direct teams to create knowledge assets, documentations and procedures for effective project management
- Ensure high level of technical, production, quality, standards and practices are maintained among engineers in the division
- Plan and organize project manpower resources within the division and ensure that manpower utilisation is optimised
- Manage employee performance; provide mentoring to the younger generation of engineers to help them establish their foundation as professional consulting engineers in the build environment sector
- Formulate and enforce all SHEQ and operation procedures, work instructions and quality requirement in line with the Company's policies.
- Responsible and committed to the development, implementation, communication and continual effectiveness of the SHEQ management system
- Visit project sites as required to observe any possible TOP/CSC non-compliance.
- Act as a design auditor/QAQC auditor to ensure projects assigned fully follow our design procedures/processes under the ISO.
- Submit technical project reports of design issues/problems to the Project Manager and PE after each auditing/QAQC.
- Provide expertise advice on design quality in projects and develop knowledge sharing capability within the teams.
- Recommend the needs of software/equipment to meet engineering works.
- Act as a technical adviser for younger engineers in the design and project management of projects.
Requirements:
- Master or Bachelor degree in Civil / Structural engineering
- More than 15 years of multi-disciplinary project management experience in engineering design consultancy
- Registered with the Professional Engineers Board
- Experience in design, design development and contract administration work
- Proven team leader with strong leadership and client management skills
- Able to plan, organize and deliver project deliverables and bottom line
- Able to lead multiple project teams
- Strong business acumen and people management skills
