Job Description

· Answering telephone call, taking messages, receiving incoming faxes and mails

· Coordinate internal and external meetings with business partners, shareholders, clients, suppliers and others

· Manage diary for Management/employees including meetings, conferences, video conferences and other events and reminding them of important tasks and deadlines

· Receiving office guests to meeting room and arrange food catering (if needed)

· Coordinate travel arrangements, including booking flights, visa, car rental and hotel accommodations, travel itineraries and completing expense reports for reimbursement after the trip.

· Perform general research work including preparation of background documents (e.g., preparation of presentation slides, drafts of simple correspondences, and background information for appointments; consolidate relevant data; generate reports, etc.).

· Establish, maintain, and ensure the timely update of the correspondence filing systems (both hard and soft copies)

· Liaise, draft, comment, review, edit and send contracts and agreements on behalf of Management (if needed)

· Assist with general administration support such as processing correspondence and letters, photocopying, printing, scanning, typing, couriers, maintaining contact databases, post and others

· Office maintenance (including pantry ordering) and repair

· Perform any other ad hoc duties where required

Duties

• Oversee all aspects of the data center's critical physical infrastructure. Maintain high availability and performance while ensuring that all work performed within the site is done to high quality without impact to internal/external customers and maintain service level agreements.
• Work Closely with the leadership team to ensure all out operations are standardized across site.
• Work closely with the leadership team to ensure PUE optimization programs are planned and executed to improve efficiency.
• Manage teams of 24x7 engineers and technicians.
• Oversee operation and management of routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as: switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
• Engage in improvement projects, often requiring reaching out to a variety of internal and external support teams, and drive them from conception to completion.
• Act as an escalation point for Data Center facilities related issues / failures including responding to out-of-hours emergency calls.
• Overall site capacity management.
• Participates as part of the new facility/infrastructure design team.
• Incident Management including but not limited to communicating and coordinating activities and on-site staff during a complex customer-impacting incidents, drive root cause analysis and provide a clear direction and, drives approval for incident resolution.
• Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work.

Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in directly managing a data center or multiple data centers.
• Engineering background with focus on MEP systems.
• Managing full life cycle of Data Centre assets and have experience working with Engineering teams to replace/ refurbish Old Data Centre Assets within a ‘Live’ Data Centre environment.
• Executive mentality and EQ with ability to collaborate with various types of people- DC techs to C-level customers and everyone in between.
• Big-picture thinker with a growth mindset that truly believes in “innovate or become obsolete”.
• Tireless energy and positivity to recruit, motivate and create a high-performing teams.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin as you need to deal with Mandarin speaking personnel
• Exposure to Automation / IOT deployment or Smart Data Centre integration experience a plus.

Why does this Role exist:

The Mechanical Engineering Lead plays a critical role for the design and construction of our both greenfield and brownfield data centers in APAC region. His/her responsibilities include designing new data centers, remodeling, and deploying the existing ones, with expertise in mechanical engineering.

What do we basically expect from you:

To have a Passion for design and construction in datacenter space.

What would you expected to do:

· Develop new greenfield and brownfield data centers.

· Assist in datacenter remodeling work and deploying additional services into existing data halls.

· Lead and work as a part of a team to create concept design schemes.

· Produce prospectus for potential designs.

· Manage the lead design consultant to produce and ensure the completeness of relevant designs and documentations.

· Follow relevant procedures and obtain necessary approvals.

· Create relevant procedures when necessary.

· Keep documentation up to date.

· Resolve design and site issues.

· Cross-check other discipline designs including mechanical design.

Educational Qualifications and Experience needed for this Job:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

· Presentable and confident in client facing

· Able to travel occasionally (around 20% of time)
