The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the nurses of the hospital. This role includes managing personnel, conducting performance reviews, providing training, and coordinating activities. By working enthusiastically with your team, you will help maintain a positive and efficient work environment. Additionally, you will ensure adherence to practice and group policies while delivering outstanding patient and client care.
Nurse Manager Responsibilities:
- Ensure the highest standard of care is consistently provided to all patients.
- Supervise and monitor the quality of patient and client care delivered by the nursing teams, and provide clinical assistance to vets/specialists.
- Maintain these standards while also recognizing the practice as a business, carefully monitoring and managing finances at all times.
- Deliver efficient, courteous, and helpful service to all clients, suppliers, and external contacts under all conditions.
- Assist in the recruitment and selection of nursing staff as needed, followed by appropriate induction, training, support, management, and leadership for all new nurses.
- Achieve optimal performance from each member of the nursing teams through motivational methods, leading by example, and maintaining exceptionally high personal standards.
- Liaise with the Floor Manager and maintain effective communication between the nursing team, management team, and other teams within the practice.
- Promote our services, staff, and products both within and outside the practice.
- Understand, contribute to, implement, and train staff on practice and group policies as appropriate.
- To perform clinical work, which may involve departments such as internal medicine, emergency and critical care (ECC), wards, surgery, and general anaesthesia.
Requirements:
- At least a Degree in Nursing.
- Possess Advanced Diploma will be an advantage
- Possess 6-8 years of supervisory / managerial experience, will be an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent leadership and management skills
