The Quality Assurance/Quality Management Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet regulatory requirements and company standards. Key responsibilities include:
Quality Control:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the consistency and safety of all food products.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production facilities, storage areas, and distribution channels to identify any quality issues or deviations from standards.
- Monitor and analyze product samples, production processes, and equipment to detect any defects or abnormalities.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions as needed
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date on relevant food safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international food safety and quality regulations, including HACCP, FDA, and ISO standards.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, records, and reports related to quality assurance activities, inspections, and audits.
Supplier Management:
- Evaluate and approve suppliers based on their ability to meet quality and safety requirements.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in the supply chain.
Training and Education:
- Provide training and guidance to employees on quality control procedures, food safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a culture of quality and accountability throughout the organization by promoting awareness and understanding of quality standards and best practices.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency gains within the quality management system.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and preventive measures to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in cross-functional teams and projects to drive innovation and excellence in quality assurance practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality management roles within the F&B industry, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, ISO), and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for excellence and continuous improvement.
