Job Description:

• Conduct sampling and perform routine/non-routine microbial & chemical analyses such as purified water, raw materials, bulk products, finished products, and stability samples in accordance with approved procedures.
• Prepare laboratory reagents, microbiological culture media, media agar plates, sterilization of apparatus, and decontamination of microbiological waste.
• Carry out environmental monitoring activities (viable and non-viable airborne particulate contamination monitoring and microbial swab test).
• Assist in Microbial Limit Test (MLT), Antimicrobial Efficacy Testing (AET), Growth Promotion Test (GPT), Gram staining, microscopy, and microbe identification testing in accordance with established international standards.
• Assist in purified water system performance verification, production cleaning, sanitization validation, new product introduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Document all results in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) requirements.
• Participate in out-of-specification and deviation investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintains a high level of good housekeeping including ensuring all glassware, apparatus, and testing equipment are cleaned promptly once the analysis is complete.
• Participate in internal assessment and audit as required.
• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cosmetics, food, nutritional personal care, medical devices, or pharmaceutical quality control laboratory.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices or Good Laboratory Practices.
• Candidates with exposure to Halal, ISO 17025, or ISO 22716 will be an added advantage.
• Fluent in both oral and written English.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in formulation and new product development by carrying out lab trials and evaluating product performance.
• Participate in production trials and process validation of personal care and cosmetic products.
• Liaise with suppliers for raw materials sourcing for new projects or improve the current formulation.
• Keep updated with current cosmetic and skincare trends, consumer insights, and competitive product strategies.
• Ensure product development compliance with ISO 22716, Halal, ASEAN Cosmetic Directive (ACD), and statutory and company requirements.
• Conduct product stability, packaging compatibility, efficacy testing, and accurate trending of results.
• Manage and maintain all documents and records to ensure the laboratory is in a state of readiness for testing support.
• Participate actively in validation methods for analytical testing of new and existing products.
• Resolution of technical issues that arise during the development, production, operation, or performance-based.
• Participate in corrective and preventive actions on customer complaints by ensuring details are recorded and monitored and investigate products that fail compliance standards.
• Ensure adequate chemical inventories and lab consumables.
• Maintain workplace safety and cleanliness.

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemistry or equivalent, specializing in personal care and cosmetic products.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience/background in the personal care and cosmetic manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of personal care production and processing will be an added advantage.
• Understand how to develop formulation & functions of raw material.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve complex problems in a timely and effective manner.
• Strong sense of responsibility.
• Able to work independently and as a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities:

• Perform physical and administrative tasks associated with general warehouse activities including receiving, labeling, weighing, put-away, retrieval, reconciliation, packing, unpacking, loading, and unloading of materials.
• Verify materials against documents and systems and escalate discrepancies to superiors.
• Ensure proper documentation of warehousing documents and ensure checklists and records are up to date.
• Perform periodic cycle counting and annual stock-take activities.
• Support production with ad hoc material requests.
• Segregate expired materials and coordinate scrap/waste disposal requests.
• Coordinate with internal and external parties on operations-related matters.
• Practice good workplace safety and housekeeping, identify potential hazards, and recommend improvements.
• Comply with company rules and regulations, and ISO requirements.
• To maintain pest-free warehouse and workplace cleanliness.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess minimum GCE"N" Level.
• Preferably 1 year of relevant experience in warehouse experience.
• Relevant experience in SAP, ASRS will be an added advantage.
• Experience in operating reach truck or possess a forklift license.
• Demonstrated ability to make value-added contributions in cross-functional teams.
