Job Overview:
This is a Senior Director role for China & ASEAN strategic initiatives to drive growth in these key markets. This role primarily involves identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the company's presence in the region. Applicants must have a deep understanding of the local markets, strong networking skills, and a proven track record in business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Planning: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in China and ASEAN. Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate new markets and grow existing business.
- Clientele Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and government agencies. Network extensively to promote the company's offerings and enhance its market presence.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities across various sectors. Negotiate and close deals that align with the company’s strategic goals.
- Communication: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure alignment with business development strategies. Collaborate with offshore vendors to support local initiatives and share experiences.
- Leadership: Lead a team of mix professionals including marketers, designers and product development team. Create a culture of good communication habbit and innovation within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from top tier University or equivalent
- Minimum of 15 years in business development or sales, with at least 10 years in a leadership role focused on China and 5 years in ASEAN markets.
- Strong understanding of the business landscape in China and ASEAN, including regulatory environments, market trends, and cultural nuances.
- Mature experience working with Chinese fintech companies and banks / financial institutions
- Good expriences working with Chinese government agencies or officials
- Super solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Proven track record of negotiating and closing complex deals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Arrangements:
- Requires travel to China & ASEAN countries and potentially other regions to meet up with prospects or partners on a often basis
- Flexi hours to accommodate prospects or partners in different time zones including China & ASEAN region
