Responsible for providing personalized and efficient guest service, including check-in/out assistance, guest inquiries, handling complaints, and promoting hotel facilities, while adhering to Leading Quality Assurance and COMO Hotels and Resort guidelines

Tasks/Responsibilities:

· Welcome guests professionally and provide personalized service.

· Assist guests with check-in and check-out processes.

· Familiarize yourself with room types, rates, and hotel facilities.

· Attend daily briefings and department meetings.

· Process guest check-ins and check-outs using the Property Management System.

· Assist with switchboard operations.

· Provide information on excursions and activities.

· Attend to guests' needs at the Front Desk, including special requests.

· Inspect guest rooms prior to arrival and ensure amenities are in place.

· Maintain stock of front desk supplies and guest amenities.

· Upsell hotel products and services.

· Handle guest complaints promptly and professionally.

· Report incidents, complaints, and suggestions in the daily logbook.

· Communicate effectively with other hotel departments.

· Ensure departing guests receive accurate departure information.

· Assist guests with luggage and provide information about the hotel and local area.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of lobby and bell stand areas.

· Deliver messages and valet services to guest rooms.

· Promote hotel facilities to guests.

· Maintain impeccable grooming standards.

COMO Metropolitan Singapore is excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Front Office and Housekeeping Intern. This hybrid internship is designed to provide exposure to both front office operations and housekeeping management, offering a comprehensive understanding of guest services and room maintenance within the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Front Office:

1. Guest Services Support: Assist in providing exceptional guest services including check-ins, check-outs, and inquiries.
2. Reservation Management: Aid in managing reservations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the booking process.
3. Assist in Administrative Tasks: Support the front office team with administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and correspondence.
4. Learn Front Office Systems: Familiarize yourself with property management systems and other front office software.

Housekeeping:

1. Room Inspection: Assist in conducting room inspections to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards.
2. Inventory Management: Support in managing housekeeping supplies and inventory.
3. Assist in Housekeeping Operations: Learn about housekeeping procedures and assist the team in daily operations as needed.
4. Quality Control: Collaborate with the housekeeping team to maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the property.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, or a related field.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude towards learning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is advantageous.
