Job Summary

The Assistant Accountant will support the finance department by performing various accounting tasks. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the financial operations within the organization. The Assistant Accountant will report directly to the Finance Controller and will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with audits and budget preparations.

Responsibilities

· Handle full spectrum of Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR) responsibilities

· Timely and accurate processing of sales/work invoices to vendors

· Follow up closely with vendors on payments

· Assist with GST preparation & submission and corporate tax returns

· Assist in the monthly and annual closing of accounts

· Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities and finance policies

· Liaise with external auditors on audit/accounting issues as well as ensure that the companies meet and comply with all accounting, tax, legislative and regulative requirement

· Responsible for timely and accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to management and ensuring the accounting processes (AP, AR and bank reconciliation etc.) and the group’s finance policies are efficient

· Prepare monthly bank reconciliation

· Present relevant information to Management, Financial Controller and Department Heads for their information and decision-making

· Any other duties assigned from time to time

Qualifications

· Minimum a Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent certification

· Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

· Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word etc.)

· Proactive, exercise flexibility, able to multi-task and work independently

· Enjoy working with people and thrive in team environment in a fast paced environment

· Fluent in written and spoken English

Description

This role will report to the Group Financial Controller.

Responsibilities

· Responsible for group monthly closing processes, group consolidation, financial reporting, variance analysis, annual audit and tax compliance

· Prepare materials for Board meetings and SGX/HQ results announcements

· Group budgeting and forecast processes

· Oversee and coordinate the preparation of Group’s annual report

· Provide guidance to local and overseas subsidiaries on accounting and financial reporting matters

· Review audit findings and ensure that all matters are addressed or resolved promptly

· Liaise with external/internal auditors and external service providers

· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, group financial and treasury policies, listing requirement and internal controls

· Support in preparation, review and monitoring of group cashflow forecasts

· Support any other ad-hoc projects or duties that may be assigned

Requirements

· Degree or professional qualification in Accountancy

· Minimum 8 years of relevant accounting and/or audit experience with at least 3 years in managerial role and/or SGX reporting

· Good knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International)

· Familiar and hands-on experience with finance system implementation is an added advantage Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese

· Good business acumen and strong with numbers and financial discipline

· Committed, proactive and hands-on team player and with an eye for details

· Good analytical and problem-solving skills

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage different stakeholders

· Able to multi-task and work under pressure, both independently and in a team, to meet tight deadlines

As a Technical Training Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of CNC technicians. Your expertise will ensure that technicians are proficient in operating and maintaining CNC machines. You will work closely with new hires, apprentices, and existing technicians to provide comprehensive training and support. You will also look into the developments and enhancements of the skillsets of Senior Technicians and Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Work with Engineering Team to devise technical training programs based on operational requirements.
• Determine course content, prepare training materials (presentations, worksheets, etc.), and create training schedules.
• Execute training sessions, workshops, and hands-on training for groups or individuals.
• Provide in-depth training on CNC machine operation, including setup, programming, and troubleshooting.
• Educate technicians on safety protocols, preventive maintenance, and proper machine care.
• Teach quality control procedures, use of simple inspection instruments, ensuring precision and accuracy in CNC machining.
• Train technicians to diagnose and resolve common CNC machine issues.
• Mentor and guide apprentices through their training period.
• Design tests and certification materials to assess the effectiveness of the training programs and competency of the trainees at the end of each training course.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a CNC technician or machinist is essential. Proficiency in CNC programming, machine setup, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with instructional design, training methodologies is preferred
• Completion of relevant certifications or formal training in CNC machining is preferred.
• Ability to speak Thai or Vietnamese is an advantage.
