The Finance Analyst, Controlling, is responsible to ensure full business/reporting compliance and to ensure monthly reporting is accurate and timely to all stakeholders; to develop financial reporting to support the business and to manage budgeting and forecasting processes as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. A special focus will be on handling government related grants.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Manage and document government grants and subsidies, ensuring compliance with all regulations and requirements.
- Analyze the financial impact of subsidized projects and prepare forecasts to optimize the financial impact.
- Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, such as management and government authorities.
- Support the application process for new grants and monitor the status of applications.
- Prepare for external audits related to the use of subsidies to demonstrate compliance with all requirements.
- Perform analysis on financial information regarding grants and on a company-wide level.
- Participate in budget and regular forecast process in relation to government subsidies and project controlling.
- Participate in month- and year-end closing activities.
- Continuously identify areas of improvement, exploring opportunities to simplify and optimize business processes, eliminate non-value-added activities in the department and propose mitigations on identified risks.
- Other duties as directed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- BA in Accountancy or Business Administration, alternatively an equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of accounting and financial principles and procedures.
Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling, ideally within a Corporate environment.
- Experience managing government grants, subsidies, or similar funding programs, including application processes, tracking, and compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) as well as Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Experience in preparing detailed financial reports, analysis, and documentation for internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
