Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Managing Director/Ophthalmologist
(a. Planning, Arranging of MDs’/Associates' internal and external schedules Business/Conventions/ Personal Trips, Daily Clinic Consultations, surgery booking In and Day case patients with coordination with an Anaesthetist and Implant specialist
(b. Draft Medical reports, insurance reports, presentation reports
(c. Follow MD’s schedule including On Call duties/ A&E 24/7
- Ensure business growth by developing /researching New and unconventional equipment and treatments, Develop SOP that can be incorporated into our ophthalmology practice.
- Support new business development opportunities to improve the company's business portfolio
- Enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the company's operations
- Determine changes in programs or operations
- Participate in business strategy development
- Develop service and operations delivery strategy in alignment with corporate direction
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for the operations department
- Lead the clinic Claims and Submission team to a cohesive and high-performing team, nurturing and training his next in line to have appropriate technical and people management competencies.
- Monitor and renew company/clinic certifications/licensures with government bodies.
- Attend and respond to government workforce surveys and other initiatives.
- Responsible for financial counseling to patients to deliver services that meet the administrative, legal, ethical, regulatory, and clinic requirements.
- Work closely with the Medical Director and Operations Manager to streamline operations drive change and improve business outcomes
- Any other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned.
- Work closely with the Accounts team for quarterly reports and submissions to Government requirements
- Knowledgeable in Government office directives and mandates for clinic start-up licenses.
- Able to write drafts for medical reports and Letter Guarantee requests to third-party insurances.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Medical or other Clinical disciplines.
- At least 5 years of working experience in Ophthalmology practice.
- Strong technical understanding of the claims process for medical claims, preferably in a Third-Party Administrator/Managed Healthcare environment
- Proficient in TOSP/ICD10 codes, Medi claims, MS/Excel
- Good interpersonal & communication skills to handle all levels of staff.
- Resourceful, proactive, and initiative.
- Good team building and a positive mindset.
- Meticulous in details and good analytical skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
