Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Finance Executive to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting senior management with strategic financial insights. You will lead and mentor a team of finance assistants, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with local statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage full set of accounting functions, including preparation of journal entries, financial schedules, and monthly cashflow statements.
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of accounts assistants and/or finance executives to ensure smooth and accurate accounting processes.
- Prepare and review monthly closing reports, conduct variance analysis, and generate management reporting for senior leadership.
- Handle quarterly and yearly tax submissions, including GST filings and estimated tax computations.
- Process payments for vendor invoices, staff claims, and manage bank reconciliations.
- Monitor and manage bank balances, ensuring sufficient funds for payments and coordinating with the treasury team.
- Oversee administration of bank loans and facilities, including loan drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, and settlements of periodic interest payments.
- Prepare year-end audit schedules and financial statements in accordance with Singapore statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Managing Director to establish and maintain strong internal controls in compliance with Singaporean regulatory standards and group policies.
- Assist the Managing Director with ad-hoc financial tasks and responsibilities as required.
- Drive continuous improvements to the accounting process and contribute to the development of best practices within the finance department.
Job Requirements:
- LCCI/Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 4 years' relevant working experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
- Proficient in accounting software such as Xero and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong leadership abilities with a positive attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Singaporean or Permanent Resident preferred.
- Immediate availability or ability to start with short notice is a plus.
