Role Description:
The Waste Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the plant, including equipment management, worker scheduling, and overall plant maintenance. This role requires a strong focus on operational performance, safety standards, and continuous improvement in plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the daily operations of the waste management plant, ensuring all processes run efficiently and effectively.
- Oversee plant equipment maintenance, including scheduling regular inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
- Develop and manage worker schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels and proper training for all operational tasks.
- Ensure the plant facilities are well-maintained, including overseeing cleanliness, infrastructure maintenance, and the resolution of any facility issues.
- Monitor plant performance metrics, track operational efficiency, and prepare reports for senior management on safety, performance, and compliance.
- Address any operational issues promptly and implement corrective actions to improve plant productivity and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with other departments to align operational goals and optimize plant operations for maximum efficiency.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in managing waste plant operations or a similar industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and implement improvements.
