As a key member of the APAC leadership team, you play a pivotal role in driving the business unit’s success by ensuring the APAC team meets financial KPIs and achieves growth exceeding market benchmarks.
As the Head of the Regional Marketing Team based in Singapore, you will lead efforts in:
- Developing and executing sales and market strategies.
- Providing sales support and driving New Product Introductions (NPI) and portfolio management for the BU Communications team across the APAC region.
In this role, you will also be responsible for empowering the regional marketing team to deliver measurable business growth while fostering continuous professional development, ensuring the team remains experts in their respective fields.
Sales and Market Strategy Focus
- Develop and implement the regional market strategy, incl. CSO Go to Market strategy, deployment and tracking
- Create and deploy sales actions/promotions and corrective sales measures, if realized sales performance and/or NPI is below planning
- Analyze BU (segment) market situation and take actions (marketing mix) to gain market share and improve market positioning
- Conduct market analyses and competitive benchmarks (e.g. portfolio including pricing) and provide related strategies
- Provide input for business planning and regular review of planning/forecasting (yearly planning, phase-out, launch planning)
- Provide input for CSO annual action plans.
Sales Support Focus
- Ensure and support the definition and implementation of the commercial training and certification plan (yearly plans, as well as for new launches)
- Conduct commercial training sessions regularly and ensures training success (internal and customers). Deliver input for development of BU specific commercial training material to BT-CO/MKK (or Regional Training Responsible Colleague)
- Support sales and business development team in customer management/customer visits
- Regional demo stock and life cycle management
- Support regional cross-BU activities (e.g. events, trade shows)
- Ensure spot pricing process and actively be involved in decision process
- Coordinate and escalate technical / QMM issues above and beyond normal ASA support and way-of-working; Trouble shooter: coordinate all product related issues between Customer-CSO-BU-ASA.
NPI/Portfolio focus
- Coordinate and create Sales Forecast new products and align NPI targets with sales organizations, implement corrective measures if NPI is below plan
- Contribute to product/service development by anticipating market trends, end-user and customer needs
- Lead/Support Product Introduction Process (PIP) on all defined process steps, including market input and regional introduction plan
- Contribute to initial product pricing and manage price maintenance and repositioning; support BT-BU/MKR of the country (cluster) in up to date price lists
- Develop the promotion basket for the region/countries
- Coordinate and support regional inventory sell-off programs (EOL, excess inventory)
- Manage product launch in the region (create launch plan, run launch and evaluate)
- Observe the market to ensure together with BT-BU/MKP that our regional product offer is compliant with legal requirements in the field.
