The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities primarily focusing on the marine geotechnical sector, with a specific focus on windfarm projects in South East Asia, including Korea and Australia. This role will involve building strong relationships with key stakeholders, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth through effective marketing and sales strategies.
Your responsibilities as a Business Development Manager
- Identify and assess new business opportunities in the marine geotechnical and renewable and energy sectors within South East Asia.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to penetrate the market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, government agencies, and stakeholders in the region.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and emerging opportunities.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment of business development initiatives with service offerings and project capabilities.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and bids to potential clients.
- Represent Horizon Geosciences at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote our services and brand.
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Your qualities and experience
You can make your mark as a Business Development Manager if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience, Engineering, Business, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in business development or sales within the geotechnical, marine, or renewable energy sectors.
- Strong understanding of the windfarm market and marine geotechnical investigation processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to travel within the region as required.
