Job Responsibilities:

• Assesses and provides individualized Speech Therapy intervention for children with a wide range of speech and language challenges (eg. Apraxia of Speech or Specific Language Impairment)
• Conducts group Speech Therapy classes (eg. in the areas of socialization and communication)
• Establishes good therapist - parent relationships through regular feedback and open communication; provides parents and caregivers with updates on the child’s progress and relevant home strategies and recommendations after each session with the child
• Update parents regarding sessions and progress after each session (text/photos/videos etc)

Duties & Responsibilities

· Classroom Management

· Behaviour Documentation and Reporting

· Setting up Lesson plans for

· Conduct team meetings with Allied Health Care Professionals such as Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, and Psychologist.

· Planning and implementation of social/emotional/behavioural Interventions

· Curriculum and Instruction responsibilities such as planning, documentation and reporting of academic data/progress and applying interventions

· Curriculum mapping, individually-design instruction, individualized lesson-planning and IEPs

· Conduct Enrollment assessments, manage grading, homework (using AEPS framework)

· Maintain student records and communicate frequently with parents and school staff as needed

Requirements

· Advanced diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs)

· Teaching experience in EIPIC would be an advantage

· Knowledge of AEPS and Brigance would be an advantage

· Experience working with young students with learning disabilities – minimum one year

Strong command of the English language

• Provides weekly communication to Allied Care HQ, ensuring that information, reports, and materials are provided, to clearly describe Therapy Centre activities and progress toward agreed upon objectives
• Oversees Allied Care inventory
• Attends all staff or other special meetings as requested
• Collaborates with Therapists, Psychologists and Allied Care HQ to establish policies and procedures for Therapy Centre operations
• Be available to staff to respond to emergencies and answer questions
• Completes appropriate paperwork to comply with insurance and reimbursement guidelines
• Completes all documentation and paperwork within time constraints posed by various entities
• Ensures compliance with standards, laws and regulations as directed by regulatory and accrediting organisations
• Performs other appropriate duties as requested by Therapists / Psychologists /Allied Care HQ

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent coordination skills - can multi-task and have an eye for details in a fast-paced environment
• Fast learner - comfortable with learning new softwares and processes
• Experience in Therapy or Early Intervention Centre would be a strong advantage (love working with kids, especially those with special needs)
