Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate and liaise with various counterparties such as vessels owners / cargo charterers / brokers / agents/receiver.
• Issue voyage instructions and other commercial instructions and generally keep a close liaison with the Master to ensure vessels perform as per charter party terms.
• Capable of independently handling break bulk chartering on voyage and time charter
• Handle all bill of lading related matters
• Efficiently able to handle post fixtures operations like negotiating claims and respond timely
• Prepare and follow lay time calculations
• Ensure all business transactions is in compliance with the company’s policy

The Trianee Forward Freight Broker is responsible for executing research on shipments and determining the divergences of the freight, fulfill any research related enquiries the Brokers may have or request for and other ad-hoc tasks.

• Monitor and stay up to date with factors such as the Baltic Index, fuel costs, cost of insurance etc.
• Perform and deliver an analysis for Market Supply & Demand Model with data collected.
• Maintain, update and refine the Freight Matrix to be distributed to clients.
• Work on the maintenance and development of various models and new products relating to international trade and the demand for shipping.
• Supporting senior team members in preparing presentations that are delivered to key clients.
• Providing general assistance to the Dry Market Analysis team and brokers with a variety of ad-hoc analytical requests.
