Driven by Singapore Sustainability Roadmap and the global demand in sustainability and decarbonization, our team is expanding, and we are looking for candidates who expressed interest in the built environment to provide advisory to stakeholders and lead project team to attain their sustainable goals and visions.
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and knowledgeable Carbon and Sustainability Consultant to join our team. As a Carbon and Sustainability Consultant, you will be responsible for guiding clients in adopting Carbon accounting and reporting standard and framework to kick start their decarbonization journey. You will provide advisory on decarbonization roadmap and carbon neutral and net zero certifications, helping clients towards their goal towards carbon neutral/ net zero carbon. Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation: Work closely with clients to understand their sustainability goals and objectives. Provide advisory on carbon accounting and reporting and decarbonization strategies.
- Certification Guidance: Assist clients to align their decarbonization commitment and pledge with international recognized standard and framework. Explore feasibility of attaining Carbon Neutral/ Net Zero Carbon certification. Guide clients through the process, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
- Whole Life Carbon Assessments: Whole Life Carbon assessments for the built environment, focusing on buildings and identify opportunities for sustainable construction, design for optimal maintainability design and operational best practices.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with agencies (e.g. BCA, SGBC, JTC) to integrate industry feedback and project experience to improve existing carbon accounting and reporting tools and standards. Explore opportunities to expand the local data base for transparent and accurate carbon accounting and reporting.
- Education and Training: Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients and project teams to raise awareness about green building practices, including carbon accounting and reporting. Create awareness on the benefits of sustainable design construction and operation and how these principles shall be adopted and integrated in decarbonization roadmap.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed calculation, reports and documentation for clients, outlining green building strategies, quantifying carbon emissions, and highlighting the environmental benefits. Maintain accurate records of project-related information.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, advancements in green building practices, carbon accounting and reporting methodology. Continuously enhance expertise through training and professional development.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Post-diploma or bachelor’s degree in architecture, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related field.
- Professional certification such as GHG Accounting Lead Verifier/ GHG Professional/ LEED AP/ GMAP/ GMAAP/ GRI Certified Sustainability Professional/ FSA Credential Level I and Level II etc. is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in green building consulting or related roles.
- In-depth knowledge of carbon accounting, reporting, verification aligned to international framework and standard (e.g. GHG Protocol, ISO 14064-1, ISO 14064-3, BS EN 15978).
- In-depth knowledge of Sustainability Reporting/ Climate-Related Disclosure Reporting, reporting aligned to international standard (e.g. GRI, ISSB IFRS S1, IFRS S2 etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of development of Carbon Footprint for Product, Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) aligned to ISO 14040, ISO 14041, ISO 14250, EN 15804, ISO 21930 and in accordance with General Programme Instructions of Program Operator.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
