职责

• 协助筹备及出席教会领袖计划日。

• 处理教会场地预定的需求并确保没有重复预订（在线课室预订系统）。

• 执行指定的临时职责或任务。

技术/专业技能和能力

文凭/学历要求

专业经验

• 至少有2年行政工作经验。

• 能熟练掌握中文软件和微软办公室软件如Microsoft Office Outlook，Word，Excel和PowerPoint等。

• 能使用Excel功能，若熟练其公式功能将是一个优势。

Bukit Panjang Methodist Church is recruiting an Administrative Executive.

ROLE PURPOSE

To provide daily administrative support to the Church Office Manager and Church Pastors. This includes planned, and other ad-hoc administrative tasks as required. The role is important to enable the overall church administrative duties are carried out efficiently and effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Church Office Manager and Pastors in all administration related matters.

• Prepare weekly bulletins and PowerPoint slides for various worship services.

• Take minutes of Chinese Works Committee meetings which are usually held on a bi-monthly basis on Sunday afternoons or as and when required.

• Assist in the preparation of the annual Church Leaders’ Planning Session or any other ministry events as required & to attend the session when needed.

• Manage room-booking requests and ensure no double booking through the online room-booking system.

• Perform ad-hoc duties or tasks as assigned.

TECHNICAL / PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

We are looking for an individual who possesses most of the following skills and abilities:

1. Organisational skills: Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.

2. Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, primarily in Chinese. Able to do English to Chinese translation well.

3. Time management: Able to manage time efficiently, scheduling and coordinating meetings/ assigned task to ensure smooth operations.

4. Attention to detail: Paying attention to detail is crucial for administrative tasks such as proofreading documents, managing records and maintaining accuracy in data entry.

5. Adaptability: Being adaptable and flexible in a dynamic work environment is important as it allows admin executive to handle unexpected situations and changing priorities effectively.

6. Interpersonal skills: Pleasant & cheerful personality with good interpersonal communication skill.

CERTIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION

• "O" Level qualification and above or equivalent work experience.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• At least 2 years of working experience in administrative work.

• Proficiency in using Chinese software & Microsoft Office applications which includes presentation tools.

• Comfortable to use Excel functions such as basic formulas would be an advantage.

(LMS) to support the Pastoral Team in various operations such as

weekly worship services, ministries (mainly the Youth Ministry & Lishi

Worship Service Ministry) and events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• supports the Pastoral Team in various operations such as weekly

services, ministries and events.

• helps define/refine the Youth Ministry’s mission and goals,

incorporating the disciple-making mindset/pathway.

• strengthens the Youth Ministry by building strong relationships

with young people and bring them together as a people group.

• invites youths into the life of the church and collaborates with them

to identify specific initiatives for the Youth community.

• walks alongside youths with the aim of helping them grow

spiritually and developing a disciple-making mindset.

• teaches and equips worshippers to serve in church and in the

marketplace.

• supports the cell groups that are run by Lishi Ministry and spins off

new groups where necessary.

• engages and does follow-up with newcomers, creates a mentor-

mentee system for key leaders.

• helps the church in fulfilling the vision and mission of disciple-

making.

• be prepared to be redeployed, when necessary, based on

organisational needs.

Join us as Lay Ministry Staff at Bukit Panjang Methodist Church

Bukit Panjang Methodist Church is looking for Lay Ministry Staff, a key member of the church ministry team, working closely with the pastoral team, church leaders, and various worship congregations. This role is for someone with a heart for serving God and His people, passionate about nurturing, building and equipping our church members into life-long disciples of Christ, finishing the Great Commission. Key administrative and ministerial responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing theological sound biblical teaching, leading small and large groups, and coordinating virtual and in-person events.

Responsibilities

· Provide pastoral care, leadership, and discipleship for the ministry.

· Plan, coordinate, and lead events and programmes, including Discipleship & Nurture (discipling people from new believers to matured believers)

· Teaching & preaching (as and when required)

· Counselling, mentoring & befriending

· Fellowship, outreach events & camps (if any)

· Planning & execution of weekly worship services (as and when required)

· Provide administrative support for the ministry, regular correspondences to youth, families and volunteers and youth calendar updates

· Supervisory of program coordinators and volunteers in relation to ministry events.

· Participate and collaborate in BPMC’s staff meetings, trainings, and events.

Qualifications

· Alignment with the doctrinal articles of religion and the general rules of the Methodist Church and its Social Principles, as contained in the Book of Discipline of the Methodist Church in Singapore.

· A team player with a positive attitude who can adapt and thrive in a dynamic organizational environment, whilst striving for continuous improvement through evaluation and feedback.

· Meticulous and conscientious in nature, with the ability to work with confidential information and maintain a high standard of honesty and integrity.

· Ability and willingness to work nontraditional schedules, which include evenings and weekends.

· Keen passion for growing in theological knowledge and an understanding of diverse cultures to better support the ministries to fulfill the Great Commission

We are looking for someone who:

· Has previous experience in church ministry, volunteer leadership roles and/or experience in similar capacities.
