1. Warehouse Operations Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, and shipping activities.
- Ensure optimal space utilization and layout of the warehouse for efficient operations.
- Ensure orders are placed and monitor closely from ordering to delivery.
- Monitor and manage stock levels, including conducting regular cycle counts and full inventory audits.
- Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and streamline workflows.
2. Team Leadership and Development:
- Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide feedback to foster team growth.
- Ensure that all team members follow company policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
3. Inventory Control:
- Manage stock control and reconcile discrepancies in inventory through regular reporting and analysis.
- Work closely with finance to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Establish and monitor key metrics for inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and cycle times.
4. Safety and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment for all employees.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Oversee inspections of incoming shipments to identify any damage or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any issues related to product handling and storage.
6. Cost Management and Efficiency:
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce expenses.
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve the pricing strategy of spare parts cost.
7. Vendor and Stakeholder Relations:
- Serve as the main point of contact for third-party logistics (3PL) providers and other suppliers.
- Coordinate with suppliers on delivery schedules, order requirements, and any issues related to shipment handling.
- Build strong relationships with internal departments, including sales, procurement, and customer service, to align warehousing activities with company objectives.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics, with a track record of leadership.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP).
- Familiarity with inventory control and management practices.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management and collaboration.
