Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled Senior HR Executive to take on a leadership role in the HR function, overseeing core HR operations including recruitment, payroll & compensation, employee relations, and compliance. This position is ideal for an experienced HR professional with a strong background in the F&B sectors, who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The Senior HR Executive will work closely with leadership to implement HR strategies that align with business goals and drive employee satisfaction, while ensuring legal compliance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, working closely with department heads to identify staffing needs and create targeted recruitment strategies.
- Manage job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding processes to ensure the hiring of high-quality candidates, particularly for customer-facing and operational roles.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for both current and future hiring needs, focusing on the F&B sector and other key business areas.
- Ensure smooth onboarding for new hires, including documentation, orientation, and integration into company culture.
Payroll & Compensation:
- Oversee the timely and accurate processing of monthly payroll, ensuring compliance with Singapore’s statutory requirements, including CPF contributions and tax filings (IR8A, IR21).
- Manage and review compensation structures to ensure competitiveness within the Singapore market, benchmarking against industry standards.
- Handle payroll-related queries from employees and ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all payroll matters.
- Monitor and report on payroll-related expenses, offering recommendations for cost-effective improvements.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns, helping to resolve issues in a professional and timely manner while maintaining confidentiality.
- Foster a positive work environment by organizing employee engagement initiatives, such as team-building activities and wellness programs.
- Ensure clear communication between employees and management, promoting transparency and a positive company culture.
HR Operations & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with Singapore’s employment laws and regulations, including the Employment Act, leave policies, and other statutory requirements.
- Manage and track employee leave, claims, and attendance, ensuring records are accurately updated in HR systems.
- Assist in preparing for internal and external HR audits, ensuring policies and procedures are in compliance with legal standards.
- Review and update HR policies regularly to ensure alignment with company goals and statutory requirements.
HR Reporting & Analytics:
- Prepare and present HR reports on headcount, turnover, recruitment metrics, and employee engagement to the senior management team.
- Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, assess effectiveness of HR programs, and provide actionable insights for business decision-making.
General HR Support & Projects:
- Assist in the development and implementation of new HR initiatives to enhance business performance and employee satisfaction.
- Take on ad-hoc HR projects as required, contributing to broader organizational goals and HR improvements.
- Support change management efforts and other company-wide initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions for employees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5-8 years of hands-on HR experience, ideally within the F&B, retail, or hospitality sectors.
- Solid understanding of payroll management, compensation, and employee relations.
- Strong working knowledge of Singapore’s labour laws and statutory compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with employees at all levels.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced work environment.
- High attention to detail, especially in payroll and compliance matters.
