About the team

Machine Learning systems team provides E2E machine learning experience and machine learning resources for the company. The team builds heterogeneous ML training and inference systems based on GPU and AI chips and advances the state-of-the-art of ML systems technology to accelerate models such as stable diffusion and LLM. The team is also responsible for research and development of hardware acceleration technologies for AI and cloud computing, via technologies such as distributed systems, compilers, HPC, and RDMA networking. About the team

As a core member of our LLM Global Data Team, you'll be at the heart of our operations. Gain first-hand experience in understanding the intricacies of training Large Language Models (LLMs) with diverse data sets. Through our carefully designed rotation program, you'll witness how high-quality data is meticulously crafted and used. After completing your rotation, you will have the chance to select your area of expertise.

Your Role Will Involve:

1. Gaining direct experience in data production, including drafting, revising, and quality-checking, to understand the synergy between humans and data in LLM training.

2. Developing specialized skills in one of our data and content domains (including but not limited to language, reasoning and safety * SFT/RM).

3. Delivering high-quality annotation independently with limited supervision.

4. Checking annotation quality and providing mentorship and guidance to internal colleagues and external partners on specific topics following successful incubation.

5. Drafting and managing annotation guidelines and casebooks for specific annotation projects and tasks.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Excellent proficiency in English with outstanding writing and critique skills.

2. Comfortable working in a project-based fast-paced environment, where quality standards iterate quickly with research and experiment progress.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience in journalism, teaching, writing, text editing is highly valued. Experience as RLHF annotators for leading AI/LLM companies is strongly preferred.

2. Candidates should be self-driven, intelligent, diligent, and skilled in providing mentorship and guidance to more new members of the team.

Your Role Will Involve:

1. Gaining direct experience in data production processes, including drafting, revising, quality-checking, or performance analysis to understand the synergy between humans and data in LLM training.

2. Working closely with the leadership and HR team to design effective feedback loops for accelerating the professional growth of annotation specialists.

3. Tracking performance of team members and building training and supporting mechanisms.

4. Managing the day-to-day operation process of annotation specialists.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Professional proficiency in English.

2. Excellent leadership experience in operation management. Experienced in managing a high-calibre team at a fast-paced innovative environment.

3. Candidates should be intelligent, diligent, and skilled in providing feedback and individual growth advice to team members at different seniorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

2. Developing specialized skills in one of our data formats and content verticals, and delivering high-quality data independently.

3. Collaborating with product managers and engineers to assess and enhance the effectiveness of our operational processes, including conducting quality and productivity improvement experiments.

4. Leading one or multiple taskforces or projects simultaneously following successful incubation. The project management work includes but is not limited to: aligning between cross-functional teams to set quality measurement and expectations of a project, assembling a taskforce for specific projects, tracking and managing progress of projects.

5. Leading or supporting general operation improvement projects across data domains.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Excellent English writing and critique skills.

2. Comfortable working in a project-based fast-paced environment, where quality standards iterate quickly with research and experiment progress.

3. Comfortable with meeting deadlines, multi-tasking, and generating creative solutions, including the use of technology and tools, to enhance the quality of both individual and team outputs.
