About the Team

The Applied Machine Learning - Machine Learning (ML) Systems team provides End to End (E2E) machine learning experience and machine learning resources for the company. The team builds heterogeneous ML training and inference systems based on GPU and advanced chip technology and advances the state-of-the-art of ML systems technology to accelerate models such as stable diffusion and language modelling. The team is reinventing the ML infra for large-scale language models.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the design and development of the architecture of large-scale machine learning systems, solving technical difficulties such as high concurrency, high reliability, and high scalability of the system;

- Covering various sub-directions of machine learning system, including resource scheduling, model training, model inference, data management, and workflow orchestration;

About the Team

The Seed Foundation Machine Learning (ML) Systems team provides end-to-end (E2E) machine learning experience and machine learning resources for the company. The team builds heterogeneous ML training and inference systems based on GPU and AI chips and advances the state-of-the-art of ML systems technology to accelerate models such as stable diffusion and LLM.

The team is also responsible for research and development of hardware acceleration technologies for AI and cloud computing, via technologies such as distributed systems, compilers, HPC, and RDMA networking. The team is reinventing the ML infra for large scale language models. We have published papers at top tier conferences such as SIGCOMM, NSDI, EuroSys, OSDI, SOSP, MLSys, NeurIPS, etc.

Responsibilities:

- Optimizing large scale parallel training for state of the art deep learning algorithms such as large language models, multi-modality models, diffusion, reinforcement learning, etc

- Research and develop our machine learning systems, including accelerated computing architecture, management and monitoring

Machine Learning systems team provides E2E machine learning experience and machine learning resources for the company. The team builds heterogeneous ML training and inference systems based on GPU and AI chips and advances the state-of-the-art of ML systems technology to accelerate models such as stable diffusion and LLM. Team Introduction

The Cloud Infrastructure team, based in Singapore, supports many of our star products and core business lines, serving hundreds of millions of users every day. We actively embrace open source and innovative software/hardware architecture, building a series of infrastructures to ensure the best R&D practices and enable the overall development of the company.

Joining this team, you can look forward to a very structured training plan, as well as the opportunity to undertake a larger scope whilst giving enough space to grow and develop. We look forward to your application!

What you will be doing:

- Design and develop Elastic block storage system;

- Continuously improve the storage system in terms of stability, scalability, functionality, performance and cost;

- Provide timely technical support for our online applications, extract potential needs and points of optimization, and continuously optimize the system.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields, with at least 2 years of relevant experience;

- Familiar with C/C++/Golang/Python program development (at least one), pursue high-quality code and focus on code engineering quality;

- Familiar with Linux systems, with high proficiency in multi-threading and network programming;

- Solid knowledge of data structure, operating system, and principles of the distributed system;

- Familiar with large-scale distributed storage system design and implementation, such as GFS/HDFS/Ceph/Lustre.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of RDMA, AEP, Optane, NVME SSD, and SMART NIC is a plus;

- Experience in storage I/O stack, SPDK, user-mode protocol stack, and ISCSI is a plus;

- Paper published in OSDI, NSDI, FAST, and ATC is a plus.

About the Team

Video Infrastructure is a world-leading video platform that provides multi-media storage, delivery, transcoding, and streaming services. We are building the next generation video processing platform and the largest live streaming network, which provides excellent experiences for billions of users around the world. Popular video products of TikTok and its affiliates are all empowered by our cutting-edge cloud technologies. Working in this team, you will have the opportunity to tackle challenges of large-scale networks all over the world, while leveraging your expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis, and large-scale system design.

What you will be doing:

1. Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of TikTok's video architecture basic services backend.

2. Design and develop high-traffic and high-concurrency online systems.

3. Research new technologies related to big data platforms and provide feasible solutions for business analysis and data applications.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or related fields.

2. Solid programming skills, excellent design, and good coding style.

3. Proficient in one of the mainstream programming languages, such as Golang/C/C++/Java/Python.

4. Deep understanding of computer principles and a good foundation in data structures and algorithms.
