Job Description

· Cutting and Crimping of wires

· Inserting of connectors and housing

· Assemble components to form wire harness according to customer’s specifications

· Ensuring quality in process is observed

· Re-work defective wire assemblies

· Any other duties assigned from time to time

Job Description

• Collaborate with project engineer and quality team to design, develop, implement and deploy test processes for new projects.
• Complete test programs for production and manage test programs and control:

- Continuity Test

- 4-Wire Continuity Test

- Functional/Final Test

• Support instrumentation needs including:

- Work with engineers and technicians in development of headers

- Testing jigs

• Develop Acceptance Test Plan per product requirements.
• Develop and document testing procedures per product requirements.
• Engage in both sustaining and NPI support activities
• Identify necessary enhancements to diagnostics deployed in manufacturing and works with quality teams to drive corrective action.
• Ensure headers have sufficient quantity to support the production needs.
• Engage in both sustaining and NPI support activities.
• Perform root cause analysis for any testing related failures.
• Perform other duties/projects as required or assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Degree in electrical or mechatronics engineering
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Electrical testing, Manufacturing, or similar roles.
• Strong background in testing principles, header & test jig development and processes.
• Design best-in-class performance testing approaches and plans for new projects per customer requirements.
• Must be well versed in electrical know how.
• Able to work well with inter-teams.
• Well versed in CIRIS tester will be an added advantage.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the development and delivery of a wide range of state-of-the-art products for global markets, from invention to mass production.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform design of electro-mechanical subsystems, micro-mechanisms and transmission systems
• Work with the Manufacturing team and part suppliers throughout the product cycle in a fast-paced environment
• Coordinate Fabrication and Assembly of prototype designed and pilot run articles
• Perform FMEA & carry out other design simulation required
• Review and evaluate vendors for performance
• Use computer-aided design software to create 2D technical drawings from 3D files
• Handle assignments under minimal supervision and tight schedule
• Participate in project meetings and conference calls with customers
• Discuss with customer on:

- Dimensions, tolerances and material requirements

- Critical/functional area

- Assembly and inspection methods

- Purchased parts with specific brands or models

- Aassembly drawing and BOM lists

- Revision to technical drafts based on the discussion

- Work with customers regarding accuracy, drafting standards and documentation

- Review drawings for completeness and accuracy

- Prepare engineering documents for submission to customers

- Maintain all revisions of project drawings, update and maintain drafting log

- Assist and provide all information to Sales team for quotation submission to customers

- Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to Production team

- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Company

JOB-RELATED SKILLS

• Good team player with strong passion for design
• Proficient in using CAD tools like Solidworks and other simulation tools
• Simulation tools & programing skills (eg. Python) is added advantage
• At least 2 years experience
• Experience working in a metal fabrication shop or similar environment will be added advantage
