About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Finance professional to take on an important role in driving excellence across the areas of Financial Planning and Analysis as well as compliance with corporate polices and procedures, and statutory requirements. He/She will oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes for the Group. He/She will perform timely and comprehensive variance analysis to identify key causes of business variances for performance measurement purposes. He/She is a subject matter expert in Financial Reporting and Accounting Standards and will be appointed as the designated key person for the ERP system implementation / integration / improvement. This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive finance professional with a strategic mindset and a great step for anyone aspiring to move into a future Financial Controller role.
Duties will include:
- Oversee all aspects of Financial Planning and Analysis functions including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including annual reporting, ASX compliance, BAS, audit and taxation.
- Business partnering with other departments to ensure financial goals are achieved.
- Advise management on Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) including researching on new/changes to FRS that may impact the Group.
- Manage the ERP system and be the key contact person for any upgrading, migration and integration projects.
- Assist in month-end/quarter-end/half-yearly/year-end closing and reporting.
- Any other ad-hoc duties or projects assigned.
Your Skills & Experience
You will have proven Finance experience in a commercial environment and a skillset including:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
- CA qualified
- At least 5 -7 years of working experience with at least 3 - 5 years working in Big 4 audit firms.
- Conversant in FRS and Statutory Reporting requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Netsuite is highly desirable.
- Strong ability to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Extensive experience in managing financial controls, policies, and procedures, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Proficiency in managing financial aspects of the business, including budgeting, cost control, and compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams in complex and fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with complex stakeholder groups
