Role Purpose
The Community Engagement Senior Executive will play a pivotal role in building and nurturing partnerships to support caregivers’ and seniors’ needs. This position focuses on fostering collaborations with stakeholders across the aged care and social service sectors, enhancing caregiver support programs, and driving impactful community initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Partnership Development
- Managing a small team to identify, engage, and sustain partnerships with sector stakeholders, including healthcare institutions, community organizations, corporates, and government agencies.
- Collaborate with partners to co-develop programs, services, and initiatives tailored to the needs of caregivers and seniors.
- Develop partnership agreements and monitor partnership performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
2. Caregiver Support Program Initiatives
- Lead or support the design, execution, and evaluation of programs that address the practical, emotional, and informational needs of caregivers.
- Work closely with caregivers and sector partners to gather feedback and identify gaps in support services.
3. Community Outreach and Engagement
- Organize outreach events, workshops, and forums to raise awareness of caregiver support resources and CWA’s role in the caregiving ecosystem.
- Develop communication materials, including brochures, newsletters, and online content, to engage stakeholders effectively.
4. Research and Advocacy
- Stay informed about trends, policies, and innovations in aged care and caregiving.
- Contribute to research projects and position papers advocating for improved caregiver support and services.
5. Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Act as the primary liaison between CWA and its partners, ensuring strong, productive relationships.
- Represent CWA at external meetings, networking sessions, and sectoral forums.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, social work, healthcare management, public relations, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in community engagement, partnerships, or program management within the social service, healthcare, or nonprofit sectors.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent project management skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in written and oral communication, including presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Knowledge of aged care, caregiving challenges, and community engagement strategies.
