You are an experienced commercial manager with a proven track record in the food or food ingredient industry. Reporting to the CEO, you will drive the commercialisation initiatives. You will achieve hands-on goals across all areas of business (consulting, sales, marketing, communication, tradeshows and regulatory, etc.) together with sales and ecosystem partners, and a team that you will build over time.
Your main responsibility includes:
Develop sales and distribution network
- Act as evangelist for the new technology
- Develop accounts from proof-of-concept to recurring business
- Develop and lead global network of sales partners (commission agents)
- Develop and partner with track & trace ecosystem companies, supported by our advisory board
- Work closely with the Research & Product Development Manager
- Build sales & marketing team
Build vision and culture
- Work with the co-founders and contribute to developing and articulating a clear vision and strategy for the company
- Drive a positive culture, built on mutual respect, sustainability, and rewarding performance
- Inspire your team and external stakeholders as a visionary leader
Your professional profile includes:
- Bachelors in Food Technology, or Food Engineering
- 5-10 years' experience in a commercial function in the food or food ingredient industry
- Solid Track record in marketing and selling new products successfully
- Possess a consultative approach to new business development, sales and marketing
- Previous experience in a start-up environment is desirable, although commercial experience is a must
