- Led the team of laundry operators to complete each daily job responsibility. Ensure proper laundry process by the staff working in the following sections:
- Checker section - Ensure the correct laundry physical checks and tagging on laundry items before washing.
- Sorter section - to ensure the correct laundry sorting of white vs. color, towel vs. sheet, and uniforms.
- Washer section - to ensure the correct sorting, loading weight, and washing / dry cleaning program is carried out according to the Laundry Care Label.
- Dryer section - Ensure the correct drying temperature and time are set according to the Laundry Care Label.
- Presser section - to ensure the correct setting temperature for machines, the types of materials, and the Laundry Care Label. Reject stained items and send them for the rewash process.
- Towel section - to ensure the correct fold design and pack quantity according to customers’ requirements. Reject the stained item and send it for the rewash process.
- Flatwork section - to ensure the correct speed setting selection for machines and pack quantity according to customers’ requirements. Reject stained items and send them for the rewash process.
- Packer section - to ensure the correct laundry items and quantity are packed according to customers’ requirements.
- Driver section - to ensure the laundry items are collected and delivered timely.
- Take full ownership of Operation Administration and upkeep of the operation record.
- Oversee the planning of the monthly Operations duty rooster.
- Approve annual leave application from the direct reporting employee.
- Coordinate with Operations Manager/Laundry Manager on training new operation staff.
- Coordinate with Operations Manager/Laundry Manager on coaching and counseling operation staff who failed to comply with company HR policies or Operation protocol.
- Record operation events and challenges in the Daily Operation book and follow up to resolve any reported incident.
- Record laundry incidents such as Laundry Damage claims and Lost & Found Items.
- Take full ownership of Operation maintenance and upkeep of all laundry equipment.
- Ensure the operation staff performs daily housekeeping on the laundry machinery/equipment area.
- Coordinate with Operations Manager and Engineering team to execute routine maintenance of machinery/equipment.
- Coordinate with the Operations Manager and Engineering team to complete outstanding repairs of machinery/equipment.
- Operation contractual commitments.
- Liaise with customers on Express laundry and ensure items are returned on time.
- Attend to customers’ inventory, customers’ rewash items, and customers’ missing and damaged items.
At least 1 year of working experience in the related field or operations environment.
