Objectives of the Position:
- Drive sales growth and manage sales operations across Singapore, Malaysia, and Batam.
- Strategically develop the General Industry business segment in Southeast Asia to achieve sustainable growth and profitability.
- Lead technical service and field support across all business segments, ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee and coordinate laboratory activities in Southeast Asia to align with business objectives and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Management and Development:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to ensure sustainable growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key decision-makers.
- Manage business contracts, including negotiation and alignment with profitability goals.
- Launch new products in collaboration with internal teams, ensuring customer readiness.
- Provide training and share technical knowledge with customers and distribution partners.
- Maintain sales opportunities, leads, and reports using CRM tools.
- Ensure accurate demand forecasting and timely responses to customer inquiries.
2. General Industry Business Development:
- Develop and implement strategic growth plans for the region.
- Work closely with distributors, agents, and internal teams to achieve business objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to the sales team to meet regional targets.
- Monitor distributor and agent performance and ensure alignment with business goals.
3. Market Intelligence and Strategy:
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities in Southeast Asia.
- Implement value-added selling strategies to differentiate offerings.
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to align market initiatives.
4. Technical Services and Field Support:
- Lead technical service and support activities across Southeast Asia.
- Supervise and mentor technical teams to ensure effective troubleshooting and knowledge transfer.
- Conduct technical training for customers and internal teams to enhance skills and expertise.
- Collaborate with regional teams to standardize processes and share best practices.
5. Laboratory Oversight:
- Coordinate lab activities in the region to meet customer and business objectives.
- Work with lab teams to evaluate processes and optimize applications.
- Support innovative solutions through collaboration with lab teams and customers.
- Ensure labs comply with corporate and regional standards, including 5S housekeeping practices.
6. Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure all activities comply with corporate governance, safety standards, and local regulations.
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation and reporting protocols.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years in technical, sales, or commercial roles, with a focus on surface treatment or similar industries.
- Proven ability to manage technical field support, process optimization, and application support.
- Experience overseeing laboratory operations and fostering innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated success in building customer relationships and leading teams.
- Effective in multi-cultural and matrix organizational settings.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of surface treatment processes.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and demand forecasting.
