JOB DESCRIPTION
- Carry out duties under WSH (Workplace Safety and Health Officers) Regulations 2007
- Conduct daily diligent site inspections, regularly review the safety of work processes assist the occupier to ensure compliance with Section 11 of the WSH Act 2006 and other applicable legislation
- Lead Team of WSH Coordinators/Supervisors on site
- Manage sub-contractors' safety procedures and ensure compliance with the organization's Health and Safety standards, policies and practices
- Plan, organize and conduct in–house safety training for all workers as and when necessary
- Ensure proper evaluation and assessment for safety on site has been carried out for high-risk work activities prior to the approval of Permit-to-work at the project site
- Liaise with authorities and clients in matters relating to WSH
- Assist the Corporate HSE Department in implementing management HSE directives, programs and strategies in the project site
- Lead and prepare the site for ConSASS Audits
- Prepare site documents for ISO 45001 Audits and support Corporate ISO Team in ensuring compliance with standards for the project site
- Adopt CAPA methodology and Proactive Approach to address unsafe conditions and acts on site
- Escalate health and safety lapses immediately to Corporate HSE Department when required
- Be the secretary for WSH Committee on site
- Member of the Risk management team
- Carry out other duties within the scope of WSHE as required by the company
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must be a MOM registered WSHO 2 years post registration
- Diploma or Degree in Safety, Health and Environment Workplace Certification is essential
- At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the civil construction industry
- Past experiences in working on Statutory Boards projects, preferably with LTA project
- Good presentation and communication skills in English
- Familiar with the use of Microsoft Office-PowerPoint/Word/Excel
- Possessing a recognized ECO and ECMO license will be a plus
- Comfortable working with colleagues and workers from different nationalities and cultures
- Composure and professionalism while carrying out his/her due diligence as a WSHO
Salary will be commensurate according to experience.
