Position Overview:
The Capital Markets team sits under the Clifford Capital Markets & Investor Services Group and is responsible for (i) the structuring and execution of new structured issuances, (ii) the ongoing monitoring and management of existing issuances and (iii) managing and cultivating relationships with institutional investors.
The primary responsibilities of an Associate within the Capital Markets team are:
1) Support the team in structuring and execution of new public and private Infrastructure Asset Backed Securities (“IABS”) transactions or other structured solutions, including the following scope of work:
- Financial modelling and cash flow analysis
- Ratings analysis and modelling
- Marketing and due diligence materials
- Investor presentations
- Investor Q&As
- Operational setup and other administrative workstreams
- Legal documentation
2) Ongoing reporting of outstanding IABS transactions
3) Managing communications with institutional investors and addressing their requests
4) Preparation of presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders
5) Preparation and assistance with new product/business development initiatives
6) Collaborate with other teams within Clifford Capital to produce deliverables in a timely and accurate manner
7) Coordination and execution of third-party appointments and non-disclosure agreements
8) Completion of KYC requests (where required)
Knowledge/ Experience Required:
- Good university degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Law or related subject. Professional qualifications such as CFA charter holder or chartered accountant will also be considered.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Background in corporate finance and/or capital markets, with high numerical proficiency and financial modelling experience would be considered favourably.
- Understanding / knowledge of securitisation and capital market products would be an advantage.
- Proactive attitude and ‘go-getter’ mindset, with strong drive for self-improvement and to further individual and corporate goals.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and exercise prioritisation of objectives/deliverables.
- Excellent presentation, numerical and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to interact confidently with colleagues and peers within the firm.
- Accept ownership and accountability for agreed upon targets and deliverables.
