Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and flexible Legal Counsel to provide ad hoc legal support on an as-needed basis. This role involves offering expert legal advice, reviewing and drafting contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations, and mitigating risks across various aspects of the business. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams to provide tailored legal solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Advisory

Provide legal advice on a range of matters, including corporate and commercial matters, including contract review, reviewing NDAs and engagement letters.

Contract Review and Drafting

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.

Identify potential risks and propose appropriate solutions to safeguard the company’s interests.

Risk Management

Assess potential legal risks in business operations and recommend strategies for mitigation.

Support the implementation of risk management policies and procedures.

Regulatory Compliance

Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company’s industry and ensure timely compliance.

Provide guidance on data protection, privacy laws, and other applicable regulations.

Ensure compliance with national, and international laws applicable to the business.

Dispute Resolution

Offer advice and representation on legal disputes, collaborating with external counsel when necessary.

Assist in resolving conflicts while minimizing litigation risks.

Internal Collaboration

Work closely with various teams, including HR, Finance, and Operations, to provide legal support on specific projects or issues.

Educate staff on legal requirements and best practices where needed.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Law or equivalent
• Good interpersonal and communications skills
• Able to work well independently as well as in a team
• Experience in corporate or commercial law, preferably with exposure to fintech or sustainability sectors.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Flexibility to provide legal support on short notice and manage ad hoc requests.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

• Event Organization: Assist in planning and executing virtual and physical events, including webinars, conferences, and investor meetings related to sustainable finance and climate transition.
• LinkedIn Marketing: Develop and implement LinkedIn marketing strategies to increase our brand visibility, engage with industry leaders, and promote our impact investment initiatives.
• Content Creation: Support the development of engaging content for digital platforms, including LinkedIn posts, newsletters, and website updates.
• Public Relations Support: Assist in drafting press releases, managing media outreach, and tracking PR performance to strengthen brand awareness.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams to create marketing materials and presentations for external stakeholders, including potential investors and partners.
• Market Research & Analysis: Conduct research on PR and marketing trends, and provide insights to optimize marketing strategies within the sustainable finance and climate transition sectors.
• Project Management: Assist in managing marketing-related projects from initiation to execution, ensuring timely delivery and coordination across teams.

Requirements:

• Master’s or Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field. Interns pursuing a Master’s degree may apply.
• Strong interest in marketing, PR, and event management, particularly in the context of sustainability and impact investing.
• Very strong problem-solving skills.
• High achiever and results-oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, creative, and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with social media marketing, especially LinkedIn, and experience in creating engaging content.
• Previous experience in organizing events or managing social media campaigns is a plus.
