Position Summary
The Executive, Community Engagement (Grants Management) should be a detail-oriented and proactive professional with a strong commitment to securing funding to support organizational initiatives. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in grant writing, donor management, and fundraising campaigns, paired with exceptional research, writing,and project management skills.
We are seeking candidates who can strategically align funding opportunities with organizational goals, foster relationships with donors and funding bodies, and ensure compliance with grant requirements. The ability to work independently and collaboratively, maintain accurate records and utilize CRM tools effectively is essential. A passion for driving impactful programs through successful grant acquisition and a results-driven approach will be highly valued.
Job Description
- Act as a liaison person for community partners or external organizations on outreach and fundraising initiatives, and corporate social responsibility/value-in-action (CSR/VIA) projects.
- Produce outreach and fundraising materials, including drafting, and presenting fund-raising proposals and sponsorship decks.
- Develop a donor/sponsor engagement strategy to identify, cultivate, solicit, steward, and retain qualified prospects and donors/sponsors.
- Research potential individual, corporate, and foundation donors, aligning with their giving interests.
- Write and manage grant applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance.
- Develop and execute fundraising campaigns and appeals, coordinating with marketing for consistent messaging.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, ensuring timely acknowledgments and meaningful recognition.
- Track and report on fundraising performance, providing insights to optimize future efforts.
- Work with Direct Services staff to gather data and success stories to enhance proposals and appeals.
- Maintain donor database to ensure up-to-date donor contact information.
- Perform any specific projects provided by supervisor and Executive Director from time to time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, or a related field; certification in fundraising is a plus.
- Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising appeals, and donor management.
- Strong research, writing, and project management skills with a track record of securing grants.
- Experience with digital fundraising strategies and knowledge of the philanthropic landscape.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
