Responsibilities:

· Perform concept and detailed design of offshore lifting arrangements and steel structures, such as lifting appliances, lift points, lift arrangements and grillage and seafastening.

· Perform structural calculations and prepare technical design reports.

· Review structural deliverables (construction reports and drawings).

· Perform quality control on deliverables prepared by colleagues.

· Contribute to a continuously improving and learning organization by i.e. actively sharing knowledge and experience and identifying and providing follow up subjects for improvement.

Qualification:

• Bachelor or Masters degree in Offshore Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Similar.

• Affinity with structural engineering, project preparation and execution of offshore projects.

• Taking the conceptual design through to implementation and handover.
• Ensuring sustainability targets are incorporated into the design.
• Producing the tender documentation, including project specifications and contract schedules such as Summary of Tender and Schedule of Rates.
• Progressing the design following the Design Checklist.
• Chairing Sub-contractor progress meetings.
• Chairing Mechanical Department Client weekly Meetings.
• Liaising with Quality Assurance / Quality Compliance Engineers to ensure they are aligned with the requirements of the specification.
• Mentoring an Engineer with the intent of securing properly trained personnel to ensure the continual expansion of the company.
• Ensuring each System Supervisor is provided with the current and applicable shop and space management drawings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an appropriate field
• Having 6 - 8 years of relevant experience with design experience desired
• Experience with design and construction preferably in industrial buildings.
• Technically competent across the full range of Mechanical Systems.
• Experience in Industrial projects such as microelectronics, pharmaceuticals, and semiconductors is an added advantage.
• Building servicing system – plumbing and sanitary, fire protection (sprinkler, hose reel, hydrant), ACMV, HVAC systems.

Job Duties:

• Review design package and prepare/ approve shop drawing of RC structural works and temporary works (strut, waler, etc.)
• Coordination of structural design works with design-relevant counter parties (i.e. Civil consultant, accredit checker, and Arch/SWC consultant) and construction team, as well as authorities if necessary
• Design of temporary work (e.g. scaffolding, false work, form work etc.) related to structural design
• Lead/ Assist project department in solving design related matters Manage and resolve production, quality, design & engineering and schedule issue
• Other duties as required

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years in engineering experience in Civil & Structural works
• Experience in infrastructure projects is mandatory (LTA Project is highly preferred)
• Site experience in Underground roadway project; and
• Design management with consultancy background on structural engineering is recommended
• Proficient knowledge of structural design, analysis software such as STADD and AutoCAD (or Microstation)
• Good knowledge of authorities’ requirement

Responsibilities:

• Carry out daily site supervision, coordination, and quality assurance of on-site
• Supervise and Coordinate day-to-day site works, including sub-contract works, safety, and quality control.
• To perform the engineer’s role on method statement, implement cost & time efficiency on the operation, and supervise site works compliances and inspection requirement
• Keep track of variation and claims of contract and cost impact
• Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculation
• Take reasonable practical measures to eliminate any foreseeable risk to any person who is at the workplace
• Liaise with the consultant and carry out a site inspection
• Attend meetings with clients or sub-contractors on work progression and prepare meeting progression report

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
• 2x Junior with 2-3 year’ experience in construction & 1 yr MRT experience
• 1x Site engineer with min. 2 years’ experience in underground/tunnelling projects
• All to have experience in diaphragm wall and bored-piling
• One of these positions to have lifting engineer certs or experience

• Develop testing and commission schedule together with vendors and forward to client/commissioning team for approval.
• Test all items in inspection and test plan at work site or laboratory to verify conformation to the specified requirements.
• Implement and control tagging procedures at different levels.
• Coordinate with M&E department on M&E installation and T&C.
• Liaise with external laboratory to carry out the testing of materials.
• Organize and conduct handling over punch walks with clients and consultant team.
• Assist Manager in preparing handling over documents and handling over process.
• Ensure all site inspection records, QAQC documents and TC records are up to date.
• Responsible for the compliance to safety and occupational health practices to be implemented at QAQC section.
• Responsible for site implementation of safety standards to comply with IMS safe work methods.
• Responsible for attendance to daily site coordination meeting.
• Assist in all CONQUAS and QM assessment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor/Diploma Degree or equivalent
• At least 5 years of quality control/assurance experience in the Construction industry.
• Experience in civil infrastructure tunnelling works, MRT and deep excavation projects of similar scale, nature and complexity.
• Prior experience in working in construction site preferred, especially in Civil Projects.
