ComfortDelGro (CDG) is seeking an experienced communications professional to lead group-level communications for our global mobility business. Key Responsibilities As an Assistant Manager/Manager working in the Global Corporate Communications (GCC) team based in Singapore, you will work with the team to provide communications counsel and media relations support to business units across the group, as well as work with business leaders to craft and execute effective programs that shape perception and enhance the reputation of the group.
Responsibilities include developing and executing regional owned and earned proactive communication strategies, go-to-market campaigns, tactics and content programs. Managing ongoing relationships with journalists and forging new ones, as well as event support and thought leadership; collaborating with stakeholders across the group and our overseas colleagues in international markets.
The successful candidate is an experienced communicator with excellent writing skills, is detail orientated and hands-on in the day-to-day and can exercise good judgment in high-pressure situations. The candidate should have experience working with exacting standards under tight deadlines and managing multiple stakeholders in an international setting.
Explicit media relations, corporate communications, or financial communications experience is strongly preferred.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Spearhead GCC's owned and earned communications programs
- Manage external speaking opportunities and media engagement
- Provide strategic communications counsel and support to the Group’s business leaders
- Manage local media engagement activities and events
- Keep the organisation current on industry trends, issues, and news by region and proactively provide related counsel and insight
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media houses both local, trade and international
- Successfully manage dynamic, fast-moving and unexpected communication challenges
Basic Qualifications:
- Solid communications or public relations experience, quality, both agency and in-house professionals are welcome
- Proven project management abilities
- Good storyteller
- Team player
- Public Affairs or Public Relations experience in corporate communications
- Experience working in a large organisation with multiple stakeholders
- Experience establishing and managing a current network of media contacts and a desire to work with the media proactively to accomplish business goals
- Experience writing for a range of audiences and formats, including copy-writing and speechwriting
- An entrepreneurial spirit, including the ability to work independently and autonomously
