Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Technical Services team at COMO Hotels and Resorts. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in hospitality project management, design coordination, and sustainability initiatives. The selected candidate will work closely with the Vice President of Technical Services, contributing to the planning, execution, and delivery of new development projects and renovations across our portfolio.
This role is ideal for students pursuing a diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Hospitality Management, or related fields who are passionate about innovation, sustainability, and creating memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Assistance and Coordination
- Support the team in ensuring project components align with COMO Hotels and Resorts’ standards.
- Assist in reviewing architectural, mechanical, and electrical design plans and specifications.
- Participate in project meetings with developers, consultants, and site teams.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical documents, presentations, and project reports.
2. Research and Documentation
- Conduct research on sustainability practices, building materials, and emerging technologies in the hospitality industry.
- Assist in creating detailed inventory handover lists and tracking project deliverables.
- Document site inspections and help track project progress to ensure timelines are met.
3. Operational and Technical Support
- Collaborate with the technical services team to evaluate energy-saving opportunities and preventive maintenance programs.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of CAPEX replacement plans for existing properties.
- Provide support in regulatory compliance checks for facility standards and fire life safety.
4. Administrative Support
- Assist with procurement tasks, including supplier coordination and inventory tracking.
- Support the VP in organizing training materials for sustainability and technical initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills
- Enrolled in a diploma or degree program in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Hospitality Management, or related fields.
- Strong interest in project management, sustainability, and luxury hospitality operations.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiar with design software (e.g., AutoCAD or SketchUp) is a plus.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Eager to learn, adaptable, and a proactive team player.
Note:
- Minimum Internship Duration: At least 3 months
- Depending on educational background, Interns will be paid a monthly internship allowance of $1000- $1500
