Roles & Responsibilities
The Pastoral Assistant supports the pastoral team in providing spiritual care, administrative assistance, and ministry coordination. This role ensures the smooth operation of church activities and fosters community engagement.

Tasks & responsibilities

1. Assists the pastor in the planning and coordination of Families Life Ministries events.
2. Supports in the planning and execution of ministry services, special events and ministry programs.
3. Provides pastoral support, including follow-ups, prayer and visit to members in need.
4. Assists the pastor in managing schedules, emails and correspondences for the Family Life Ministries.
5. Supports the pastoral team in building relationships within the church.
6. Performs any other duties assigned including co-ordination of event logistics and managing stakeholders who are in partnership with Family Life Ministries.

You should possess the following:

• Diploma/Degree holder in any discipline.
• Possesses minimally 2 years’ experience of Christian ministry and/or relevant experience is preferred.
• Strong personal faith and commitment to Christian values.
• Ability to strategise, organise and communicate ideas well.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe Acrobat and Google Forms.
• Ability to engage and connect with people, and to work independently and in teams.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Tasks & responsibilities

1. Assist in the planning and coordination of Families Life Ministries events, and Church Camp
2. Manage Event logistics such as obtaining quotations, selecting venues, coordinating with vendors, and overseeing attendee registrations.
3. Maintain event planning schedules and ensure timelines are adhered to.
4. Organize and keep detailed records of bookings and administrative tasks.
5. Prepare and coordinate event resources in advance.
6. Provide on-site event support, including setting up and dismantling event spaces.
7. Manage and track department inventory.

You should possess the following:

• Diploma/Degree holder in any discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of Christian ministry and/or relevant experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe Acrobat and Google Forms.
• Prior administrative experience is required.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise effectively to manage multiple projects with multiple deadlines.
• Self-starter with attention to details.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications & experience

• Diploma/ Degree in Communications, Media or related disciplines
• Photography/ videography skills
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite Video and graphics editing tools, Microsoft Word, Teams, Powerpoint, Video Editor, Canva, Google Forms, etc.
• Experienced in Christian ministry
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, preferably skilled in Mandarin/ Chinese (both spoken and written)
• An innovative team player, self-motivated, proactive
• Excellent organisational and project management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Passion for the Gospel and the local church

Tasks & responsibilities

• Assisting Chinese Congregation Pastor to oversee ministries
• Providing pastoral care to church members
• Assisting in planning activities for church events, including baptisms, special projects and other events
• Preparing church announcements within the church community
• Coordinating administrative tasks such as maintaining membership records and updating files on attendees
• Plan and produce content (video, graphic, text and image posts) for social media, web platforms, Sunday services in line with church’s priorities
• Analyse performance of digital campaigns using various web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) to deliver actionable insights and recommendations, and generate reports
• Web content management using WordPress
• Stay updated with latest social media platform trends and functions
• Work closely with colleagues, volunteers and external creatives in other tasks and projects as assigned
