The Research Officer would perform applied research using substantial theoretical and psychological expertise. Candidates must be proficient in all parts of the research process, including literature search, data collection, entry and management, statistical analysis, report writing, and communication of findings. Furthermore, research officers will be asked to help conceptualize and carry out studies following the Authority's research needs. Prospective candidates must be able to write clearly and concisely and present well (for example, during meetings or training activities).
Officers are responsible for all research-related administrative tasks. This will include liaising with various parties for meetings, preparing files and paperwork, etc. They will also be asked to conduct various administrative chores as required.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Draw on your expertise in psychology and behavioral sciences to help conceptualize and carry out applied research projects as required by the Authority.
- Conduct literature reviews and reports on research studies as directed by the Authority.
- Collect and analyze research data.
- Present study findings using presentations and training platforms (e.g., classroom, seminars).
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to expedite research requests.
- Providing publication-related assistance.
- Archive the research process and results as part of the Authority's knowledge management activities.
- Ensure that no official documents are lost and that they are safe.
- Any other obligations delegated by the Authority.
Requirements:
- At least a bachelor’s degree (preferably with honors) from a recognized course/program behavioral in psychology (preferred) or any field of study.
- One (1) year of work experience in psychology/ related behavioral sciences is preferred.
- Good writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of statistics and proficiency in the use of statistical software
- Only Singaporean
