Job Summary:
The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure a high-quality dining experience for all guests. This role involves managing staff, maintaining service standards, ensuring food and beverage quality, and handling guest relations. The Restaurant Supervisor will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to foster a positive and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Daily Operations:
Oversee restaurant floor activities to ensure smooth and efficient service during each shift.
- Staff Management:Assign duties and coordinate shifts to ensure sufficient staffing levels.
Provide support and guidance to servers, bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff.
Conduct on-the-job training and development for team members.
- Guest Satisfaction:Greet and interact with guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Address and resolve customer complaints and special requests promptly.
Maintain service standards to enhance the guest experience.
- Quality Control:Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation to meet the restaurant’s standards.
Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen are accurate, well-presented, and meet guest requests.
- Health and Safety Compliance:Ensure all safety, sanitation, and health standards are adhered to.
Conduct regular checks to maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
- Inventory and Supplies Management:Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed to ensure availability of essentials.
- Financial Management:Assist in managing budgets, controlling expenses, and reducing waste.
Handle cash registers, reconcile sales at the end of each shift, and ensure accurate financial records.
- Training and Development:Train new hires and support continuous staff training to uphold standards.
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment to boost morale and teamwork.
- Problem-Solving:Address any operational challenges efficiently.
Collaborate with management to improve processes and enhance service quality.
