Overview:

The Risk & Permanent Control Department (RPC) in Singapore is under the supervision of Local Chief Risk Officer (LCRO). LCRO reports functionally to Regional Chief Risk Officer and locally to Senior Country Officer Singapore.

LCRO acts as the RPC representative in front of local management and other departments as well as local external entities (regulators, auditors, etc). LCRO has managerial responsibility on all RPC activities.

The functions based in Singapore are:

• Sector Corporate Structure (SCS): in charge of analysis and assessment of counterparty risks in Corporate and Structured financing in different sectors and of credit decision process
• Credit Monitoring & Reporting (CMR): in charge of administration and monitoring of counterparty risks inherent in the business activities, and of internal and external reporting based on the data generated from our internal systems / tools
• Market Activity Monitoring (MAM): in charge of monitoring, control and reporting of performance and risks of global market activities
• Operational Risk Management (ORM): in charge of permanent control at level 2.2 and reporting of operational risk related events and incidents

Summary of the position:

• Under-study and assisting the Sectors Corporates Structured (SCS) team where applicable, with particular focus on corporate files belonging to the CIB business line in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand as well as corporate files under SFI Coverage.

Main Responsibilities:

• Undertake preparation / updating of financials
• Assist the analysts team to prepare the annual reviews of corporate groups, monitoring of the economic evolution of clients and global limits on groups (checks & prepares limits etc).
• Interact with Front Office, Regional & HO RPC SCS
• Minutes-taking at Credit Committee.
• Checks the correct data input for sign-off of credit files.
• Update the weekly monitor for annual reviews calendar & ratings.
• Perform independent re-computation of financial covenants.
• Ad hoc projects as determined by the Head (industry analysis, attendances at analysts’ briefing, general admin functions of the credit unit, etc).
• Any other functions / projects as requested by the Head.

Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance, Business Administration or relevant qualifications.

About the Company:

The Global Market Division’s (GMD) department in Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank Singapore is composed by 12 desks: FI Sales, Corporate Sales, Credit Sales, EM Trading, Treasury, Structured Equity Transactions, Non-Linear Trading and Quant, Global Repo & Indexing, Solutions Sales, Structuring Desk, Credit Trading. The successful candidate will join one of our Singapore-based Global Markets Sales teams. Successful candidate will work closely with Senior salespeople to support client servicing and marketing.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Sales Department in Singapore, the role provides hands on introduction to Global Markets and a unique insight into how the largest clients in the world manage their FX and Interest Rate risk.

Responsibilities:

• Support our Senior Sales for pre-trade activities like trade simulations, drafting internal approval memos, assisting in reviewing transactional and project document.
• Assist the Sales team in providing execution assistance, and some level of client interaction i.e. sending daily indications to clients, providing market colour, trade booking and execution.
• Preparation of marketing materials for external/ internal presentations (e.g. management reports, client pitches), trade execution and post-trade follow up.
• Help out with business models, spreadsheets and software required to perform daily routines and analyse potential transactions.
• Get acquainted with global capital markets, financial instruments and various structures promoted by the Bank.
• To be fluent with relevant booking and pricing systems, market and product understanding to perform your daily tasks independently.

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree holders, with strong academic background in Quantitative Social Science, Accounting, Business, Finance, or Law, with 1 to 2 years of full time working experience. Prior exposure to financial markets products will be an advantage (Financial markets, wholesale banking, consulting, or law).

Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Business Planning

• Support CACIB Singapore SCO on ad-hoc projects related to business and coverage management.
• Draft presentation and provide support regarding the strategy of CACIB Singapore.
• Monitor and analyse the commercial performance of the Singapore franchise.
• Participate in the organisation of client events in collaboration with respective counterparts in Singapore.
• Ensure seamless internal communication in coordination with the Regional and Head Offices through Intranet, newsletter and other communication tools.
• Coordinate the communication on strategy topics and liaise with the Regional and Head Offices.
• Act as the point of contact for external providers and/or any third parties as found necessary to fulfil the responsibilities listed above.
• Support CACIB Singapore SCO on the coordination with other CASA entities in Singapore
