Overview:
The Risk & Permanent Control Department (RPC) in Singapore is under the supervision of Local Chief Risk Officer (LCRO). LCRO reports functionally to Regional Chief Risk Officer and locally to Senior Country Officer Singapore.
LCRO acts as the RPC representative in front of local management and other departments as well as local external entities (regulators, auditors, etc). LCRO has managerial responsibility on all RPC activities.
The functions based in Singapore are:
- Sector Corporate Structure (SCS): in charge of analysis and assessment of counterparty risks in Corporate and Structured financing in different sectors and of credit decision process
- Credit Monitoring & Reporting (CMR): in charge of administration and monitoring of counterparty risks inherent in the business activities, and of internal and external reporting based on the data generated from our internal systems / tools
- Market Activity Monitoring (MAM): in charge of monitoring, control and reporting of performance and risks of global market activities
- Operational Risk Management (ORM): in charge of permanent control at level 2.2 and reporting of operational risk related events and incidents
Summary of the position:
- Under-study and assisting the Sectors Corporates Structured (SCS) team where applicable, with particular focus on corporate files belonging to the CIB business line in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand as well as corporate files under SFI Coverage.
Main Responsibilities:
- Undertake preparation / updating of financials
- Assist the analysts team to prepare the annual reviews of corporate groups, monitoring of the economic evolution of clients and global limits on groups (checks & prepares limits etc).
- Interact with Front Office, Regional & HO RPC SCS
- Minutes-taking at Credit Committee.
- Checks the correct data input for sign-off of credit files.
- Update the weekly monitor for annual reviews calendar & ratings.
- Perform independent re-computation of financial covenants.
- Ad hoc projects as determined by the Head (industry analysis, attendances at analysts’ briefing, general admin functions of the credit unit, etc).
- Any other functions / projects as requested by the Head.
Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance, Business Administration or relevant qualifications.
- Strong organization skills with high attention to detail.
