POSITION SUMMARY
An IT support individual is in charge of supporting end user technologies, including desktop, printers, devices and potentially network and systems of all types, providing technical support and ensuring the whole company runs smoothly. IT Support monitors and maintains the company computer systems, installs, and configures hardware and software, and solves technical problems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support for end user desktops and laptops which include but not limited to internal hardware component replacements.
- Network, Desktop & Server OS support & administration.
- Provide first level troubleshooting & installation of software or firmware applications.
- Install, support & maintain IT peripherals such as keyboard, printer, projector & others.
- Support recurring tasks such as back up, patch management, IT system monitoring, cyber-security protection from viruses and spam wares attack, etc.
- Liaise & coordinate with IT vendors/suppliers on IT purchases, projects & support IT systems
- Update IT inventory & Licences, ensuring appropriate and sufficient level of vendor support.
- Planning, developing, and maintaining SQL databases.
- Maintaining the company intranet with basic programming.
- Attend to emergency calls & weekend /off hours support.
- Any other responsibilities & ad hoc assignment as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- NITEC or higher.
- Min 1 year experience in IT field works.
- Knowledge of current Windows & mobile operating systems.
- Good knowledge in IT hardware & administration support for Microsoft Windows.
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Candidates who are familiar Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, ASP.NET/.NET Core will have an added advantage.
