As a Security Officer, you’ll be implementing safety and security policies in accordance with IHG standards – emphasizing to remain alert at all times to team members. By allowing guests to feel safe and that their safety is not being compromised, it would encourage them to repeat visits to our hotel.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Reporting to Manager all hotel property deficiencies and safety or security hazards
• Checking control access points as assigned to ensure no unauthorized entry
• Maintaining keen vigilance at colleague entrance where colleagues, casual labours and visitors check in
• Doing patrolling on guest floors, heart of house and check entry and exit points
• Ensuring all operating procedures are adhered to
• Monitoring CCTV cameras
• Arranging Night Transport requests for colleagues
• Responding to emergencies as a member of CERT / Certified First Aider
• Familiar with fire / work place safety procedure guided by hotel’s emergency plan in any case of fire outbreak
• Escorting VIPs and dignitaries
• Engaging with guest confidently & appropriately
• Staying alert and observe for any unusual packages, guests or vehicles to advise superior

What we need from you

• A minimum qualification in GCE O levels
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience
• Possess a valid security officer licence
• Able to work rotating 12 hours shift over weekends and public holidays
• Proactive and have an eye for details
• Able to stay alert & professional at all times

As a Guest Services Officer, you’ll deliver exceptional service to guests through excellent service and answering their enquiries that exceeds their expectations. You’ll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Maintaining cashier float, ensure accurate daily report of money received and performs audit balances in accordance to accounting policies and procedures
• Maintaining intimate knowledge of departmental standards and procedures
• Assisting with hotel guest’s check in swiftly and efficiently
• Ensuring all billings are accurate
• Greeting guests in a friendly and helpful manner and attempts to learn and use guest’s name at every opportunity
• Carrying out hotel guest’s personal and travellers checks transactions and assisting with currency exchange
• Taking ownership and attending to guest’s request of using the service of safety box at all times
• Ensuring all policies and procedures are aligned to OH&S guidelines
• Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
• Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
• Logging security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements
• When on night shift, checking night report, preparing the morning report and preparing all necessary forms for the following day’s guest arrivals
• Be aware of all special promotion procedures and registers and rooms all arrivals according to the hotel’s established procedures
• Upselling of Hotel product or services (sales incentives will be provided)

What we need from you

• A minimum qualification in GCE O levels
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in a hotel front office environment
• Be quick witted and able to adapt in a fast pace environment
• Possess a pleasant personality and have strong interpersonal skills
• Able to commit rotating working shift hours - Morning, Afternoon and Night Shift (5 days work week, 9.5hours per shift including 45 minutes meal break) over weekends and public holidays
