CW Aero Services Pte Ltd is a company established in Singapore, a young entity of a business active for 20 years in Aerospace.
We are specialist in selling and supporting Aviation products mainly from high quality European manufacturers, to airports, airlines and maintenance centres in Asia. Since 2015, the Engineering department provides a highly qualified technical support for these products. In addition, CW Aero Services also provide installation, commissioning, training, repair and maintenance services of MRO equipment, such as test stands, to the major companies of aviation industry. Engineering services are provided in Singapore and the Asian region as well.
Position Summary
You will be hired as an Automotive Technician for 6 months. Your primary responsibility will be to assist Ground Support Equiptment (GSE) technicians and engineers in the components installation, maintenance of tracking systems for light/heavy vehicles (such as pushback tractors and loaders), mobile air-conditioning units, mobile gensets, and other motorise and non-motorise GSE. Located at Singapore's Changi, Seletar, Paya Lebar airports.
Your role will focus entirely on GSE tracking system installations. You will coordinate with engineers and technicians for your daily tasks and reporting.
The successful candidate will be trained on the specific tracking systems and equipment required and may have the opportunity to advance to a Full time GSE technician or field engineer role upon meeting all necessary requirements during the contract period.
Main responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of tracking systems for Ground Support Equipment (GSE), including heavy vehicles such as pushback tractors, loaders, mobile and fixed air-conditioning units, and gensets.
- Collaborate with GSE technicians and engineers to ensure accurate and timely installation of tracking systems at customer sites.
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on tracking system components as needed.
- Attend to related breakdown reported by lead technician / engineer for necessary work instructions and perform given task.
- Maintain regular communication with engineers and technicians to report on progress, issues, and daily tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols during installation and maintenance activities.
- Document all work completed, including system installations, repairs, and maintenance reports.
- Participate in hands-on training for specific tracking systems and equipment used in GSE operations.
- Provide feedback on system performance and suggest improvements to optimize tracking system operations.
- Keep work area and its tools/equipment always clean and serviceable, report all deficiencies to superior.
- Perform any other duty assigned.
Skills/Qualifications
Should have minimum Automotive Certification or relevant working experience, fresh graduate are also welcome.
Mandatory
- Diploma or certification in Automotive Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
- Basic mechanical working knowledge
- Good interpersonal and customer support skills
- Able to obtain Airside/Airport pass as work site can be in the airport (No criminal record or blacklisted by the airport organization)
- Driving license holders
- Strong Awareness of work safety
- Strong Situational Awareness
- Able to handle stress that may be causes by frequent changes due to production and maintenance
- Organization, communication, and customer care skills.
- Can-do mindset and willing to learn.
- Good team player, you must be proactive and able to work autonomously.
Additional
- Knowledge about common industrial machinery components and maintenance
- Knowledge and usage of tools (electrical/Mechanical) is an advantage
- Knowledge of electrical diagrams is a plus
- Knowledge in machining/fabrication is a plus
