Job Description
A System Assurance Engineer is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks associated with systems and processes within an organization. The primary duties include:
• Conducting Risk Assessments• : Evaluating potential hazards and vulnerabilities in systems and processes.
• Developing Mitigation Plans• : Designing and implementing strategies to minimize identified risks.
• Compliance Monitoring• : Ensuring that systems and processes comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
• Documentation• : Creating and maintaining detailed reports on risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and compliance status.
• Collaboration• : Working with various departments to develop and maintain safety standards and protocols.
• Training• : Providing training to staff on risk management practices and procedures.
• Continuous Improvement• : Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and safety.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates need the following qualifications:
• Educational Background & Experience• : Diploma or Degree in SA engineering with minimum 5 years’ proven work experience in risk assessment, system assurance, or a related field.
• Technical Skills• : Proficiency in risk assessment tools and methodologies, knowledge of safety regulations, and experience with compliance standards.
• Certifications• : Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Project Management Professional (PMP) can be beneficial.
• Soft Skills• : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Additional Skills• : Additional experience in risk assessment and/or ISO 9001 will be a plus.
