Job Summary:
The LTSS engineer is responsible for conducting thorough testing and evaluation of electronic, mechanical, or software components to ensure quality and functionality. This role involves setting up test equipment, performing tests according to established procedures, and documenting results for quality assurance purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and calibrate testing equipment for various components.
- Perform routine and specialized testing on prototypes, production units, or returned items.
- Analyze test results, identify discrepancies, and troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain accurate records of test procedures, results, and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback and recommendations for product improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during testing processes.
- Assist in the development and documentation of testing procedures and guidelines.
- Provide support for failure analysis and root cause investigations.
- Keep the testing bench organized and maintain equipment in good working order.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment and tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters).
- Familiarity with testing protocols and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of software testing principles.
