About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Radiographer/ Radiographer to join our team. As a Radiographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations in CT, including general X-ray and other imaging procedures when rostered. You will work closely with patients to ensure their comfort and safety during the imaging procedures, as well as with other healthcare professionals to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including explaining the procedures, providing instructions, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Perform CT scans or perform duties in other rostered modalities. Evaluate the quality of images and provide timely uploading of images to PACS for reporting.
- Ensure that all imaging procedures follow established radiation safety protocols to minimize the risks of radiation exposure for patients and colleagues.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring that it is properly calibrated and maintained according to established guidelines.
- Maintain protocols, follow up with patients when necessary, and provide timely information to the reporting radiologists when required.
- Participate in quality improvement and quality assurance activities to improve the overall quality and safety of the imaging services provided.
About you:
- Diploma/ Degree in Radiography from a recognized institution and AHPC Certification is a must.
- Able to work in a team or independently with minimum supervision.
- Able to present a professional image and deliver top-quality customer service.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit in order to be standing for extended periods, lift and position patients, and operate imaging equipment.
- A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zones and take on new challenges.
