The editorial team is responsible for all the amazing content that you see on the Daily Vanity website, social media and broadcast platforms. Always keeping its finger on the pulse of the beauty industry, the Daily Vanity editorial team moves fast and is acutely aware of what makes our readers tick.

We prefer editorial interns who can join us for at least six months, but you’ll be considered if you can join us for at least three months. Priority will be given to those who are able to commit for a longer period of time.

Job scope

• Build a writing portfolio when you contribute articles to Daily Vanity, Singapore’s #1 beauty media, and lifestyle magazine AvenueOne.sg.
• Attend product launches, interview industry experts, review new products or products that are about to launch in market
• Create content on social media accounts such as Instagram, TikTok, and Lemon8
• Assist in other editorial and marketing-related tasks assigned by supervisor

Attributes we are looking for

• You love writing and have a good command of the English language
• You are hard-working and fun-loving
• You are familiar with digital content management platforms (such as WordPress), Adobe Photoshop, and social media platforms (such as Instagram, TikTok, and Lemon8)
• You are able to commit to an internship of at least 3 months

This is a full-time paid internship and mentorship and training will be provided.

The business development team is responsible for speaking to potential advertisers and understanding their needs so as to recommend them the right ad units on our platforms to help them meet their marketing objectives. With good knowledge in digital marketing and a helpful disposition, the Daily Vanity business development team offers strong consultation and great customer service to our clients.

Job Scope

• Seek out potential advertisers via various prospecting methods including cold calling or email etc
• Conduct face-to-face and online sales pitches to potential advertisers
• Advise potential advertisers on how to develop a successful digital marketing campaign by using our platform with the help of our campaign planning team
• Create detailed briefs to communicate to campaign planning team on expectations of advertisers
• Create proposals to effectively communicate campaign ideas to potential advertisers

Requirements

• Only Singaporeans or PRs
• Diploma and above qualification
• Preferably at least 1 to 2 years of related sales experience (Fresh graduates with passion to sell may apply)
• Training and mentorship will be provided
• Interest/knowledge in digital advertising will be ideal
• Able to communicate comfortably via email and phone
• Excellent communication skills, telephone and video conference manners
• Possess strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure to meet targets
• Self-motivated, persistent and diligent

Job responsibilities

• Create both SEO and Facebook-optimised articles (editorial and branded), including performing SEO research and sourcing for and pitching interesting story angles
• Create storyboards and write scripts (editorial and branded)
• Create and post engaging social media posts (editorial and branded) for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Lemon8
• Analyse traffic data from Google Analytics
• Any other content and campaign duties assigned by the Editorial Director

Requirements

• Excellent in meeting deadlines
• Working knowledge on WordPress, Excel, Photoshop, Google Analytics
• Familiar with SEO techniques
• Strong news sense
• Flair for writing
• Familiar with social media platforms
• Energetic and has a go-getting spirit

Job Scope

Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

• Work alongside marketing team to brainstorm on marketing campaigns for both clients and Daily Vanity
• Assist in coordinating content creation process with all the internal departments
• Draft weekly e-newsletters to Daily Vanity’s subscribers
• Ensure relevant and engaging content across social media channels (e.g. Telegram, TikTok, Instagram etc.)
• Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned
