As a Pre-sales Sr. Solutions Engineer (Analytics, AI, Big Data, Public Cloud), you will guide the technical evaluation phase in a hands-on environment throughout the sales process. You will be a technical advisor internally to the sales team, and work with the product team as an advocate of your customers in the field. You will help our customers to achieve tangible data-driven outcomes through the use of our Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, helping data teams complete projects and integrate our platform into their enterprise Ecosystem. You'll grow as a leader in your field, while finding solutions to our customers' biggest challenges in big data, analytics, data engineering and data science problems. You will report to the Manager, Field Engineering.

The impact you will have:

• You will be a Big Data expert on aspects of architecture and design on public cloud
• Lead your prospects through evaluating and adopting Databricks
• Support your customers by authoring reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications
• Integrate Databricks with 3rd-party applications to support customer architectures
• Engage with the technical community by leading workshops, seminars and meet-ups
• Together with your Account Executive, you will form successful relationships with clients throughout your assigned territory to provide technical and business value

What we look for:

• 3+ years of pre-sales or post-sales experience working with external clients across a variety of industry markets
• Understanding of customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role with a core strength in Data Engineering and Cloud Architect advantageous
• Experience demonstrating technical concepts, including presenting and whiteboarding
• Experience designing and implementing architectures within public clouds (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Experience with Big Data technologies, including Apache Spark™, AI, Data Science, Data Engineering, Hadoop, Cassandra, and others.
• Fluent coding experience in Python or Scala implementing Apache Spark™, Java
• Experience working with Enterprise Accounts
• Experience with Data Science and related technologies (R and various algorithms) would be a plus
• Native proficiency in Bahasa Indonesian and English

The Global Staff Learning Platform Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining any code associated with integrations between Learning Platforms including but not limited to the learning management system (LMS), lab platforms, curriculum and lab publishing, and productivity tools. The Staff Learning Platform Engineer will build relationships with stakeholders within Learning & Enablement (L&E) to automate manual processes and ensure the most efficient and effective systems are available to create effective training for our customers. This role will collaborate with cross functional stakeholders and external platform vendors, define business requirements, architect, create, and maintain the code base for any automations, and continuously seek to improve the user experience for any customers using said automations.

Your primary focus will be supporting our esteemed customers in the Greater China Region, guiding them through their Databricks experience. Your expertise will empower them to derive maximum value from our products and align with their strategic objectives. Your scope of support will range from addressing fundamental technical inquiries to navigating intricate architectural challenges within the broader Big Data ecosystem. Your contributions will be under the guidance and leadership of the Senior Manager for Platform Support.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer issues related to Databricks platform
• Provide best practices support for custom-built solutions developed by Databricks customers
• Deliver suggestions for improving performance in customer-specific environments
• Assist with issues around third-party integrations with Databricks environment
• Demonstrate true sense of ownership and coordinate with engineering and escalation teams to achieve resolution of customer issues and requests
