Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced ERP Manager to oversee the implementation and optimization of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Microsoft Business Central, in the Finance department. This role involves coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure a seamless deployment while supporting the Finance team with ongoing ERP management and day-to-day workload distribution.
The ERP Manager will work closely with the Finance Director and two existing executives to enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and ensure the ERP system meets organizational needs. This is a 2-year contract position with the potential for extension based on project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Implementation and Management
- Lead the end-to-end ERP implementation process, including planning, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Collaborate with external implementation partners and vendors to ensure deliverables meet timelines and quality standards.
- Coordinate data migration, integration with existing systems and government’s InvoiceNow, and configuration of ERP modules (Financial Management, Reporting, budget, etc.).
- Manage project milestones, risks, and resources to deliver on time and within budget.
Operational Support and Training
- Provide day-to-day support for ERP-related tasks, including troubleshooting, user access management, and resolving system issues.
- Develop training programs and documentation to empower the Finance team to use the ERP system effectively.
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendor support and maintenance.
Collaboration and Optimization
- Identify and implement process improvements within the Finance department, leveraging the ERP system to enhance efficiency.
- Work with the Finance team to balance workload and address operational bottlenecks.
- Provide regular updates to the Finance Director on project progress, challenges, and key decisions.
Key Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Professional certification in ERP systems, project management (e.g., PMP), or finance (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in ERP system implementation and management, preferably with Microsoft Business Central or similar platforms (e.g., NetSuite, SAP).
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional ERP projects in mid-sized organizations.
- Experience working in Finance or with Finance teams is highly desirable.
Skills
- Strong understanding of financial processes, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and resource-constrained environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft apps like Power BI, Copilot and Power Automate.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to address complex issues.
